This is coffee table reading for the Land Rover aficionado. I don't think it's going to 'blow your mind' with anything startlingly new, but the author throws up one or two interesting comparisons between different types of Land Rover application, whether it be challenge event, G4 / Camel, Bowler, Wildcat etc, etc... It covers the three coil sprung platforms of Defender, Discovery & Range Rover and explores topics such as history, racing, expeditions, service & repair to modifications...As previously stated, coffee table reading for the Land Rover nutter, such as myself!

Because it tries to cover three different Land Rover models, it can't go into a huge amount of workshop detail, but this book is a an excellent starting point for anyone considering modifying a vehicle (or considering buying a vehicle to modify, because it does clarify choice quite well). It serves a very useful purpose in comparing the use and value of various modifications and so potentially could save money in the long run.

A good book to study if you are contemplating modifying an early coil sprung Land Rover.

Seems to be good value for money - purchased as a gift for my son who is uprating his Disco.
