This review is long overdue. Installed in August 2024, this project totally enhances the shower experience. I try not to rush my showers now. Instead, I relax in the steam for about 15 minutes using various scented essential oils for aroma therapy while streaming soothing playlists from my phone over the in-shower bluetooth speakers. I also set the ambiance using the chromotherapy feature, choosing from various colors (see pics). The shower is complete with a rain head, regular wall mount shower head, 6 body jets, and a hand-held wand that I can use alone or in various combinations. However, there is a price to pay for such luxury. In addition to the price of the SteamSpa Generator, you will need to be prepared for the following additional expenses: 1. Floor to Ceiling low iron shower doors to keep the steam inside ($3,000) 2. A licensed plumber to install the unit and bath fixtures ($2,850) 3. A licensed electrician to run power lines to your circuit panel ($800) 4. Steam Shower Quick Connect Kit - not included ($250) 5. The shower fixtures ($1500)...for my chosen options This installation was part of an entire bathroom makeover that included installing a jacuzzi tub and heated porcelin floors. Fortunately, it was an insurance job. However, I did have to come up with about $10,000 of my own money for the added luxuries. Overall, I cannot stress enough how satisfied I am with my SteamSpa Generator. My shower looks, feels, smells, and sounds great. I typically run the unit at 95-100 degree steam, although I suggest you try lower temps until you get use to the heat. I highly recommend this unit for anyone looking to upgrade their shower/spa experience. One word of caution: be careful of how hot you run your shower water. The steam from the generator seemingly increases the overall temp of your shower water.

Very nice unit , plenty of power to steam a 5x7 shower room size. Love the LED lights and Bluetooth speakers !! Only dislike is the speaker grill mounting instructions and lack of mounting screws.

Awful customer service , will rip you off @ every turn , a plastic speaker cover $45 for a $5 item. Wires for the lights are too short and they know it , extended cable $90. This company is your worst nightmare . Do not buy . Just my opinion.

I purchased this last year on sale on black Friday and was a little worried it would be a bad unit on installation (almost 1 year later). Fortunately I was pleasantly surprised that it worked flawlessly. I am an engineer and had little trouble setting the unit up. I can tell the instructions are translated (but understandable). I was able to install per manual except where it required no dip in the steam line on the way to the shower. I needed to run it through the ceiling and accept that I will have water buildup near the generator. I installed union's for quick disassembly to drain and clean that part of the line. The bathroom is 5x6 with a 9 foot ceiling. I bought a 12 Kw unit to match the space requirements. It does take about 7 min from startup to steam, but its well worth the wait. So far it's a 5 out of 5. 1 year out: flawless performance for over 100 cycles. Excellent quality.

The Steamspa shower generator kit works great! Until it doesn't. For mine that took about 10 months. Our contractor had the kit for 3 months during a remodel. 3 months of sitting in the box + 10 months of use = 13 months, making the 12 month warranty void.

This company is very persistent to make sure their customer is happy with their product. They went the extra mile with me in helping with installation and any issues I had. They even did is way past the purchase date and warranty expiration. I highly recommend anyone to buy from this company. Thank you SteamSpa staff!!!

Love the steam shower, but it is loud and the drain pan (same brand) leaks.

Love this unit. It was very slightly tricky to wire since the instructions didn't detail the connection of the smaller wire, but all in all this is a great steamer unit. I'm a general contractor and so far I have purchased 2 of these units. It has plenty of power, plenty of steam and certainly doesn't disappoint. If I have another steamer project, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a third.
