Scandi white 6+6 wide chest

I put this together with moving old furniture round and drawer linings+contents in 2 days. I put grab adhesive on the dowels and vaseline on the metal runners. As usual putting the drawer guides onto the runners was the frustration, very tight fitting for the screws. Also had to drill several holes on the draw sides as they had been done incorrectly. Annoyingly the metal cams had also been routed too low into the runner guide, so I used grab adhesive here to secure the bolt.Quite easy to put into place and the end result looks fantastic, lovely furniture. I noticed that when the drawers had contents the runners run smoothly, so I guess they need some load, probably springy when empty so they graunch. Highly recommended though you must like self assembly else it will drive you mad with the hundreds of fittings!

good all round peace. not hard to put together. I had no trouble in assembling all holes in the right places. i would recommend if you are not used to assembling is to read instructions before you start. as i have said not hard.

Draw runners difficult to fit, too tight, but if you are good at DIY, a fine product.

Looks good, BUT... And there are a lot of buts. First of all the price. £15 dearer when I bought this 10 days ago so I thought it would be good quality. Wrong. It's standard MDF and wobbles all over the place now it's built.. And as for the actual building of it - well! For the price I did not expect to have to do that much work for a nearly £200 piece of furniture - not helped by parts missing and/or broken. There was no back foot, not enough screws for the knobs and some of the tightening caps were broken However, I had some spares in the toolbox and managed to complete the drawer assembly with them.The drawer runners are a nightmare. They look wonderful in the packing, and don't look too bad when attached. However it's a fiddly job to attach the drawers to them BUT the design is such that they impede the smooth opening of the drawer. There is a sort of flange at the very front of each runner which catches and you have to almost pull the whole thing off the wall in order to get the drawers open. Shutting involves slamming as hard as you can. I am no novice when it comes to self assembl but can honestly say I have never had so much trouble as I did with this. Not surprisingy, I am not happy and only wish I could get my money back as the thing is not fit for purpose. I've awarded 2 stars for its looks, and the fact that it was exactly what I wanted, but am giving my self minus 5* for being taken in by the thing.I strongly advise you not to buy this disaster.
