Maskal Teff Ivory Teff Grain, 14 Ounce

This was my first time buying teff. The taste to me is very neutral which can be a good thing because you can flavor it to your own liking. To me I didn't get much of a nutty flavor that others reported. I usually add in a scoop or two to my morning oats/quinoa fruit bowl mix. The texture of teff by itself is very unique if I had to think of something I would say imagine grits or polenta but a bit more earthy. If you're vegan or vegetarian this seems to be a great way to get more protein into your diet. I could also see this being good in soups and veggie burgers. Teff is also reported to be high in fiber, vitamin C, and iron.

In my photo you can see the difference between the brown and ivory teff. I previously bought the brown which has a stronger flavor so decided to try the ivory. I really enjoyed it. I feel it’s more versatile and my kids won’t notice when mixed with quinoa or millet blends 😉Overall product is very nice and I like the taste.

First this was delivered and packaged as described. Second it is simply delicious 😋.It has an nutty earthy taste. I like to make a small bowl for breakfast with a little honey on top, so good. Besides being delicious, it's packed with protein!

It' s really tiny grain, recipes for uses will need to be researched, just boiling this isn't appealing way to serve it. Creativity required to capture healthy benefits of this product.
