Chudley and Greeno's Building Construction Handbook

First delivery was left outside in the pouring rain, despite someone being home to receive delivery and the book was ruined. Amazon’s customer service was faultless though and they sent replacement as soon as notified. This was a Christmas present for my boyfriend who had been wanting this for a while. Happy face on Christmas morning. 😁 As always, Amazon came out cheapest when searching for this book and quick delivery. Regarding the actual book, my boyfriend is a surveyor and loves the book.

Absolutely essential for anyone in the construction industry.

The 13th edition is still a very good book to have. The volume has been reduced somewhat, even though it's been padded out with info on current methods of building practice. I think the parts of the sections which have been omitted aren't necessarily essential & therefore not overly worth bothering about. - if you already own previous editions, you can always find those things there. The up to date construction details are very useful for professionals & others looking into the building industry alike. The newly laid out reading format takes a moment to get used to, if you have previous editions, but it does make sense after a short while. All in all a great building systems & design reference book.

Quality book. Clearly written and enjoyable to read. Covers the vast majority of construction elements. Can be a little too brief and further research of individual topics may be required.

I was building a house and I needed to understand the building process. This book is excellent. It’s the only book that you need.
