These things are SLICK!
I used these Blumotion Hinge Adapters for compact door hinges on my Merrilat-brand cabinets. While these hinge-adapter bumpers are not specifically advertised as being universal I read a lot of other reviews from other customers who used them for other cabinets with non-blumotion hinges and since they said these worked well for them I took the chance. And am I ever glad I did -they work WONDERFULLY. Installation was a real snap using a flexible shaft bit extension. You REALLY need one of those to put these in correctly or else you are not going to be able to get your drill or driver in at the correct angle and the crooked screw is going to make the bumper sit askew. What you want looks just like this: [...] or you can buy it locally at your friendly home or hardware store. You'll also need a drill bit that fits a 1/4" bit extension since you want to pre-drill the hole or risk cracking and ruining the wood on your cabinet. A set like this is what you want: [...] you can buy something like that locally as well but you will need a drill that can make the pilot hole that will fit in the 1/4" socket of the flexible extension so it will drill into the cabinet face straight or you will also have crooked bumper. The easiest way to mark where you want to drill this hole is to hold the bumper up to the cabinet in the corner and use a scratch awl through it to bop a small divot in the wood with a hammer. Then you can use the flexible bit with the correct sized drill to make your pilot hole. The tool you want is a scratch awl like this one: [...] -once again this tool can be bought locally. Using this method you can mark the hole, drill it, and then screw in the bumper all in about a minute flat and get on to the next cabinet door. I opened up all my bags and determined which part I needed and put them into a small container to bring them with me as I moved from door to door. After adjusting the first door I knew exactly how many turns I had to adjust the adjustment screw and did all of them at the same time. From that point it was an assembly line and I knocked each door out in under a minute. The whole job only took an hour or so to do every cabinet in the house -including clean-up. Pros: *All-metal housing makes for a strong and durable mount even though it only uses one screw. It's built to jam into the corner and if you are careful to drill a good pilot hole it will fit in there like it came with the cabinet. *The kit comes to do both the compact door hinges with overlap and the without overlap: The plastic spacer and longer screw are for those doors that have no overlap around the outside face opening. *These are so easy to put up if you follow my instructions above. You only need a drill, a flexible bit extension, a hex-drive drill bit set, a scratch awl, a hammer, and a #1 phillips-head hex bit. A phillips screwdriver is needed to adjust the tension -but doesn't everyone have one of those? Optionally, a 90-degree phillips screwdriver is really handy to get that last bit of torque on the screw so you don't have to worry about stripping the screw-head (the flex-extension is a bit hard to get pressure on the screw) or over-tightening it. But if you don't have one of those a regular phillips screwdriver will work if you need to get the screw a little tighter than you can get with the flexy shaft. Cons: *You have to buy these things in a set of 10 to get a good deal. They are a little more expensive than the other brands but after reading about how the others would break or get loose because they were plasticy I figured it was worth it to only have to do the job once. These are high-quality items so you are just going to have to pay a Finn each for them or go with the cheapos and take your chances. These things are great and easy to install if you have the right tools (see above.) They work OH SO NICE -and have a lot of adjustment to account for how large your door is or how much spring your hinges have pulling them closed. Really large doors like those for full-height pantries might need two of these per door. The adjustment can be made pretty stiff but the door might want to twist if it is 4+ feet long and only has one of these on the top and not one on the bottom. For regular sized upper or lower cabinet doors just one bumper at the top corner is needed. Just buy some and put them in. I wish I had put these in YEARS ago -no more slamming doors! You won't be sorry.

No more banging cupboard doors
As advertised. Install is easy if you are handy with a drill. I had to modify them to fit the thickness of the frame by breaking off a tab. They still fit snug and tight and work fine.

Great Product and inexpensive to boot!
These are very well made and work like a charm. I love that there is an adjustment for the strength of resistance on the close. I originally bought an 8 pack to see if I liked them and then ordered 25 more. Two complaints however: 1) I agree with other reviewers that the screws provided by the seller are junk. I was continuing to strip the heads, even with a pilot hole. I replaced them with 2 inch drywall screws and with an 1/8 pilot hole there were no more stripped heads. Super easy to install and the spacers are a must. 2) They came with no instructions. It took me a while to figure out how to use the spacers but once I did they work great. Since I had no idea where to mount them on the cabinet door frame I called the company. They said it really doesnโt matter. I found that mounting them in the corner didnโt allow room for my drill so rather than messing with a flex bit on my drill I just installed them a little below the upper corner so I had room to drill and screw. No problem. Just consider that they slightly reduce access to your cabinet so consider that when you decide on placement so you donโt hit the mechanism when you pull things out of the cabinet. I asked the company why they donโt include directions with the item and they said they do. Apparently Amazon buys them in bulk and sends the number you order in a plastic bag with no instructions.

Love the functionality - but missing screws!
I love how easy these are to install and work as well as slow close hinges (without having to replace 2-3 per door!). The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I bought a 20 pack and only got 10 short screws and 10 long screws. It shouldnโt have been an either/or, but 20 of each size as pictured! I mean most peopleโs kitchens have the same doors and either would need the adapter or would not! Not a big deal to buy more screws but come on.

Well made and easy to install!

Relatively easy to install - just need an electric drill to make a pilot hole and a screwdriver to fit the adapter - otherwise all parts supplied. I struggled a little with fitting one of the right-hand widgets and it sits at an angle compared with its left-hand neighbour but still works very well. Time will tell how long they last but thanks to God, so far so great. I have attached a video to show the difference between closing these cabinets with the Blumotion fitted, and the last one when I ran out of widgets!

This product is exactly as advertised, made well of excellent metals and works perfectly. We installed 46 of them throughout the house in under two hours and now enjoy the sounds of silence. Fabulous device!!!

Works perfectly with vestibule closet as doors tended to slam easily. These are lighter doors so the Adjustable tension screw is handy for a perfect closure. Not too fast or slow. Used the plastic adapter as door is inside the closure, fits perfectly. Good quality heavy metal.

These slow closers are fantastic! We thought we were going to have to replace all our kitchen cabinets until my husband found these. We read all the other reviews and went with this make and not the cheaper plastic ones. We are glad we did. They are perfect. Easy to install, no removing old hardware just adding these on the inside. Life is much quieter now. These are worth the money.
