Product works smoothly and easily. It's very well made and enables you to control a wide array of electronics at a terrific price. Excellent customer service should you have a question. You can look at the rest but in terms of value and performance, this could very well be the best.Be aware, however, that the packaging of the product is not ideal. The plug unit is protected with a clear plastic film. The remote unit is not. Thus, during transport/shipping, bot both flop around in the box. The chain and ring on the remote flops around in the box causing the unit to get some scratch marks of it. While the unit works and performs perfectly, the remote unit does have the slightly "used" look due to the scuffing of the chain during shipping. Better packing would alleviate this issue but again, it is a minor issue and does not in any way affect the overall performance of the unit, which in my opinion is outstanding.

I have a collection of Himalayan salt lamps arranged on a shelf with their cords and switches all hidden away out of view (and extremely hard to reach). I plugged them all into a power strip and plugged that into this remote switch.Now, all I have to do is press one button for the whole display. Love it.PS: There is no "timer," it just has two buttons, ON and OFF.

Do not plan on using this unit unless you have at least 1, 23A battery on hand. Otherwise the unit looks promising. The lower rating is based on the simple fact that the manufacturer failed to include a non-standard 23A battery for the remote which led me to drive to a local store to buy one.

Did not come with battery. It’s a odd 12v size. Drove all over to find battery. They were $8 at CVS. Finally found a two pack at Walmart for $4. Seems to work well though.

Product works but remote drained fresh batteries in less than 1 hour time. I tried 4 different new batteries but all drained.12/14/17. Bought identical item as replacement. It works perfectly. Updating to 4 stars.

Works for 2 hp dust collector. Will see how it holds up over time. Build quality appears average for inexpensive electronic items

This remote Outlet is used to power an HVLP Fuji Q4 Turbine for Spray Gun. Very handy. No longer have to walk outside turn on the turbine and then back to the project. Handles the current/wattage just fine. Perfect for tools on long hoses or cords. Eliminates a lot of wasted time.

Using the remote control feature in my woodshop to activate the dust collection system when needed. A real time saver. Also, there is not a "timer" function on this model as you keep stating in you descriptive information
