Thickness was good, pieces themselves were small, portion was small for the price (but it is elk), taste was not bad.Flavor could be better. While the texture isn’t as tough as I prefer in jerky, it’s definitely not as soggy/chewy as most of the crap you find in stores these days.

What I took out mail package and compared to the online PHOTO is a Joke. I did not realize I was paying $10 for One Ounce. Its ok, but nothing more special than the various special jerky selections in the grocery stores.

If you like tough, chewy, vacuum - packed hot peppered dry meat, you will love this jerky.If not, avoid.Couldn't even tell what animal the meat came from. Only flavor was the peppering. Only texture was tres tough.Disappointment all around.Sorry.

Very hard and it tastes old not what I expected

I don't know if it is expire or not. there has no day on it. It just don't feel safe to eat.
