The perfect mouse trap. Best bar none!
Nothing bad to say about these. They really have invented the perfect humane mouse trap with attention to every detail! We left our problem a bit too long (did not want to turf mice out in the winter when they almost certainly die when released). We bought a few of these, put shelled peanuts in as food bate (no mess, unlike peanut butter). In no time at all we rounded the mice up and safely deposited them in an old building at the bottom of the garden. You do really need to make sure that all holes in the house are filled as they will find their way back to the food source! When you see them at close quarters you simply cannot understand why anyone would want to inflict pain or injury on such cute and helpless creatures (or any animal). For the sake of a few quid please use these. They are fantastic, totally humane and highly recommended. Oh, and yes, it works great even with the tiniest mice so long as you check that the sprung ramp is not blocked with food debris from the previous catch. But remember to check very frequently as it would be just as cruel to let them starve to death in the trap. We could clearly hear ours "clunk" shut so we released them in their new home almost immediately. Don't be tempted to clean the trap too often as the scent of the mouse wee trail leads others to follow in, and you don't end up contacting it due to the very clever design. Whoever designed this clearly loved mice!

Does the job, a safe humane way to catch the wildlife
I bought these because I have a never ending cycle of mice in my garage, they have chewed through everything, I have already reaseal about 5 from either being caught by my cat, or finding them still nesting in boxes. Still I hear them all scratching away.I love animals and hate my cat killing them, so a humane trap was the answer.I bought these as I though mice might be more willing to go into something clear. The trap step seems quite delicate, but due to other reviews I cellotaped a 2p in a place in the step where it still stayed up. I will however try without as they seem just a little knock sets them off anyway, worth just testing when you get it.These arrived yesterday and straight away I put a half a teaspoon of peanut butter on a cut out piece of paper on each one (to save sticky food to clean off)Put them in two places I know the mice had been before and made sure there was nothing that could prevent the floor from closing by testing them. This morning I got up and both had a mouse in each.I have a feeling there will be many more over the following weeks.Once released just pop the back off take out paper and hose out all the poo and wee (there was alot of it but it comes off easily) the trick with the paper worked too, so no peanut butter stuck to the tray and it was mostly eatenVery happy with these.

Good trap but i needed to adapt to catch the smaller mice
Hi all just wanted to let you all know about these traps they are good if the mice are big enough i caught 2 larger mice in the first 48 hours of placing them in the cupboard using peanut butter but found that there where tiny ones going in the traps but they was not setting of the trap door as they where so small and didn't weight enough so i tried altering the spring like 1 reviewer mentioned but this still didn't work so i stuck a small pebble with peanut butter on the edge of the trap plank and this was just enough to set of shutting the trap door and caught 4 tiny ones in 1 night and your all be pleased to know i set them all free over a forest as if your like me know one likes to kill these or any other animalHope this helps everyone

Absolutely useless: mice ate food and walked straight out!
I recently discovered we were getting mice in one room of the house, and immediately got online to find a humane mouse trap. The reviews for this were great so I duly purchased the two-pack. I followed the advice of one reviewer and used peanut butter on a small square of paper to avoid mess. The next day, the trap was empty, so I thought we simply hadn't had any little visitors. On closer inspection i realised that the papers had been licked clean, and there was poo inside the traps - but the doors were still open and the mice had escaped with dinner. They'd spent long enough inside the traps to polish off *all* of the peanut butter, and leave plenty of droppings, but nonetheless hadn't managed to trigger the door mechanism.I generously wondered whether the paper had brought the food too far forward to allow the full weight of the mouse on the trigger part of the floor, so I cleaned them out and tried again with a bit of bread in one and some crunchy nut cornflakes in the other. I tested the mechanism by sticking a ruler into the hole and touching the trigger; the door closed. The following morning, half the bread and all of the cereal was gone from both traps, and there was poo all around them - but still, no trapped mice.I want to believe that humane traps can work but evidently these are not the ones which do. I imagine the other reviews must be fake because I simply can't understand how they were successful. The door mechanism isn't nearly delicate enough. I used to own gerbils so I know how little these tiny rodents weigh, and I think it's simply designed for heavier mice than whatever slimline vermin I have in my house. Although at this rate they'll be putting on weight like the clappers. Maybe that's how these work?!

Caught the mouse.......
Caught the mice, which was great , although when i picked the trap up, one escaped out of the gap in the top of the trap, which was a bit scary ,,, the mouse was fine !,The trap is a bit fragile, they won't last very long, so only good for short term use, as they will break , mine fell apart when i opened the package. The spring fell off on the trap door , but as there are 2 in the deal ,I looked at the other one and worked out how to put it back together. They were a bit of a cheap deal, so maybe for the price, you cant expect much more from a piece of plastic.....??? But they are humane and the mice is not too traumatised by the whole event, lots of space for them.Shame they are badly made, as they are a good design.Recommended for short term use, and if you don't want to share your space with Mice !!!,,,
