Wow! An absolute must read!
A complete "How to" and "Why" from a credible clergyman. It is "only" 325 pages, but an encyclopedia of Christian healing embracing mind, body and spirit. On one extreme, many believe that Divine healing is not for them or not for today. The other extreme is that everyone should be miraculously healed instantly. Mark Pearson shows the balance that can result in Diving healing for the mind, body, and spirit. He is the co-founder of New Creation Healing Center which combines medicine, Christian counseling and prayer. Every Christian should read this book!

The best book on this subject
This book lives up to the subtitle. It is both practical and comprehensive. Pearson combines solid theological insight with decades of active healing ministry. It is useful for every layperson involved in healing ministry, though it is written with pastors in mind in chapters about picking and training healing teams within the local church setting. Pearson is very good in exploring various reasons people do not get healed or healed immediately. He also covers areas of healing that are not physical (or are not only physical) in nature. The contribution by his physician wife on being and staying well is an important final chapter.

Good Read
I liked this book and I do recommend it. The concepts of Christian faith helping to heal, is almost gone and even frowned upon in our society. This is an eye opening book that merely helps to point out that God and Jesus did make promises to us, that we may ask for something in true faith and receive it.

okay book on healing
it is not the perfect book on healing but it has some excellent material on how the churches got separated around the issue of healing. I questioned material the chapter on healing of memories and felt that in general it presented a very safe approach to healing. I wasn't really looking for the safe approach.

Excellent Resource
This was an excellent book. I would suggest that churches considering a healing or prayer ministry buy this book for each team member. It provides a grounding which would support an understanding of both the historical and practical aspects of this type of ministry. My plan is to sponsor a training session for our prayer team based on this and one other book's content.

I have bought this book for studies due to commence later this year. It's on the reading list so relevant to the course subject. On a quick brows, it is readable, with a good layout and subject matter. I will come back and update this review, when I get time.
