Abra Kadabra! Your form is magically intact with this thang!
Squat Magic is incredibly easy to assemble. There are only two parts, and when you take it out of the box, you snap the two parts together and click 4 cables in. It takes maybe 3 minutes. Second, the most important thing to focus on when working out is form. Squat magic helps you keep an excellent squat form by helping you bounce you back up from your squat without taking away any momentum or force from the work your body is doing. You’re able to do a ton of squats without losing balance or form. I’m lovin’ it.***This is not a weighted olliptical. You’re going to feel your muscles working well like you would when doing a squat with just your body weight, but it’s not a planet fitness machine where you can set it to 100lbs of resistance and do weight training. Just hold a kettle bell or whatever kind of weight you want while using squat magic. It’ll produce a similar effect while still assisting you in maintaining your balance.I’m 5’2, 120lbs and I can squat 110lbs. I love the squat magic & use it with and without free weights in my hands. This was definitely an impulse buy, but I haven’t regretted it for a single second. Get ya squat on, friends!

Great squat device. Works great and isn’t a bulky piece of equipment.
I absolutely love this device. I recommend watching the video and tips because when I first got it, the first day I just started using it and I felt it mostly in my knees. After actually watching video and reading the instructions (and looking at the poster provided with the form), I realized what I was doing wrong and felt the difference. My knees are comfortable now and my (I think they’re called quads) are feeling the burn.My wife has been using this as well and she’s loving it too. It’s easy to store in a corner since it’s not bulky. Since it’s small, clothes do not end up on it like other exercise machines. We have not increased the resistence yet so we are still on the bottom band (easiest). The himeight adjustment is super easy to do (just spin the top to the desired height).

My daughter who is 7 inches taller uses it without a problem and is able to balance a lot better then I can at 5'2"
I used it only a few times, I have not been able to attempt the posses from the guide because I am afraid of falling. The seat is uncomfortable and awkward feeling it does not feel stable to me. My daughter who is 7 inches taller uses it without a problem and is able to balance a lot better then I can at 5'2". It's going in the area of things I will never use.

This is a good way to keep moving... an often underappreciated but precious gift
With this machine I can keep my feet firmly on the floor as I exercise, and I can use it very close to a corner so if I start to tip either direction I can catch myself before I fall. That is a big issue for me because I suffer from severe balance problems. For this reason, I have a difficult time finding exercises that I can do safely. Since I don't get much exercise at all I really, really NEED to be able to find something to help me keep in some sort of shape without injuring myself. In order to help with the balance problem, I usually do better with more resistance as opposed to light resistance. It is easy to change the resistance levels with this machine, but you do need to make sure that the plug clicks into a locked position. You can both feel and hear it when it locks in. I tried the lightest level first but went from there directly to the strongest one. I was surprised and somewhat disappointed that it is quite difficult to notice a difference between the three levels. This alone is the reason for my four star rating as opposed to five stars.According to the enclosed brochures you can increase the intensity of your workouts by using only one leg or other varying body formations. This will never be a possibility for me, so my only option is the basic one... two feet firmly on the floor, thus my disappointment that there isn't a heavier resistance level for this method. Also, when I first started using it, I had a hard time seeing the black arrow located at the base of the machine easily because the base is also black. Since it's supposed to be directly between your feet as you begin, I got out fingernail polish and brightened it up. Now I can see it from the seat of the machine or anywhere else (see photos). The first day I could only do five squats at a time before my knees started to hurt. I did that three separate times over the day. By day two, I could do eight squats at a time and my knees cooperated better. This time I also tried to follow the guidelines for the correct posture described in the enclosed literature. Although I am unable to correctly follow their recommendations for arm movement, I adhere as closely as I am physically able. Right away I could feel a difference in the workout my muscles were getting. After two weeks, although I can't really see a difference in my physique yet, I have graduated to 25 squats three times a day so I know I am strengthening leg, back and stomach muscles that haven't been challenged in a long time. That gives me hope.I don't know how well it would work for someone in decent physical shape who could do all of the recommended exercise variations, but for someone with limited options to keep in shape due to health issues or aging, this is a good way to keep moving... an often underappreciated but precious gift.

Seems to work well. Keeps you in form.
Really helps beginners who may not have the correct form for squatting down. Full disclosure though -- if you are above a certain weight the resistance part of the machine won't help you much pushing you back up.In that regard I kind of wish for a more sturdy and professionally built version of the machine, made with metal instead of plastic, with proper resistance cables for supporting more weight. Durability may also be an issue, as it feels a bit cheap. Then again, it's less than half the price of any other squat machine type product so eh. If the thing breaks I'll update my review so wish me luck I guess 😱

Very unstable!
This is the worst piece of exercise equipment I have ever purchased, and I have many! It is very unstable. I fell when it flipped out from under me during the first use. My advice is to not purchase this equipment. Use a chair or something that will catch you if you lose your balance. Not worth the price either.

I liked the fact that the unit was fully assembled
I liked the fact that the unit was fully assembled, at approximately 8 lbs the unit did not give me the security I needed. Great idea, could be more sturdy.
