Good old pump it won’t pull up as much as the pole is that goes in a barrel it’ll go about 3/4 down. It’s good little pump though.

These pumps work great to get water out of a 55gallon tank. They feel a little flimsy and in truth they probably are but they do the job if you don’t man handle it. I have two of these pumps now and they do pump a decent amount of water with each pump of the handle.

It did not fit the barrel properly. had to return it. Do not recommend anyone pick it up

Yeah, the hose leaks and no amount (to date) of fussing will get it to stop. Oh well. It's also difficult to get it the bung plug clamped tightly enough to the feeder pipe so the thing won't wiggle and twist when you're pumping -- unless you're careful/gentle. You probably CAN get it tight enough, but it's at the risk of breaking it and/or stripping the threads on the clamp screw. So just be careful. But it moves water at the speed equal to my kitchen faucet and will fill a gallon jug in about ten seconds and I can work with that. The alternative is to pay 3x as much for the metal version which has complaints about very similar issues as this one.

Pumps high volume. Couldn't get pump to work, worked in reverse and lo and behold it started to work. Would help if you noted this in book, instead of customer pumping his ass off and not working!!!

I should have read the reviews better before I purchased this pump. Like other reviewers have indicated, it is good little pump, but the threads do not fit a standard 2" barrel opening. I found an adapter, but it cost twice as much as the pump. You have to hold the thing in place, while you pump, which is a real pain in the azz.

It works because we made adjustments to the 55 gal. rain barrel that has the 2 holes on either side, one fine thread and one course thread. Had to cut away the plastic lip on the fine thread side with an all purpose tool. Then use liquid nails to keep it in place because the threads were not long enough. A cheap plastic extender would be nice. Or a product mod to make the pump threads longer?

Is the way I expect

The worst possible pump, from the first day I bought it, you had to pull the handle 20 times hard to get the liquid out. Unfortunately, after four uses, no matter how much I pull the handle, it doesn't come out. The tube itself was small and not the standard size of the 250-liter drum. I even added another tube to it myself to make it the exact size of the drum, but it still doesn't pump. Please don't throw away your money. It has no value. Zero Star

Pump fit our drum perfectly and the quality of the pump is great and it pumps very quickly and easily with the turn of the handle.

There was a "Problem with the Order" notice that came up after placing the order. I never could find out a explanation for this, but it really seemed to slow down delivery. Other than that, the pump is great. Easy to put together, simple to install and it works well.

Pump works good, does its job as expected. Has fine and coarse threads.
