I have pretty beefy custom-built Gaming Rig.It has 3 - 2TB internal hard-drives (one an SSD) ,plus I have 2 USB-A, (3.2) external HDDs connected as well.I looked for another External USB-A hard drive but needed an SSD. Got very lucky with this one. It was fairly inexpensive (roughly $109 w/tax). The reason I say I 'got lucky' is b/c Kingston is a good brand plus everywhere I looked ,all the other external SSDs used USB-C connection w/o a USB-A adapter. I think most of the USB-C to USB-A adapters cost $15 and up. Which isn't that big of a deal if you're just gonna store pictures , music , movies, etc on it , but I mainly use it for installing and running video-games off it. Thing is , once you buy an external USB-C SSD , and use a USB-A adapter ,the data transfer speeds drops dramatically ( for a gamer that's a deal breaker ) but since this one already connects directly to a USB-A port ,it's a pretty darn fast external SSD. I've installed a few games on it since purchasing it and they run smooth & fast. Pretty amazing for an SSD that isn't internally connected to you motherboard. Not sure if they're still available ,but if they are ,even if you're just a casual gamer , it's a great purchase. However ,as I stated before ,if you're not a gamer , this won't matter to you much anyway. EDIT : When I purchased this SSD back in late January of '25 , I paid $159. Today it's $229 and that's w/their "41% Off" 'discount'. Original price without the "discount" is like $388. Thank God I bought it when I did as my 'Indiana Jones" game (which is close to 150GB after installation) runs perfectly . Don't have to use my main OS drive to install games anymore. Also , thank you all the "AI is the future" normies (thanks for nothing ,I mean) Thanks for building huge , power & water hungry A.I Data Centers. Without you (especially) PC hardware wouldn't cost an arm and a leg plus our environment would be cleaner , that all of you 'Tech Giants' seemed to "care" about so much , less than 2 years ago.

Have had this pocket drive for about a month now and so far so good. Working as it should. (fingers crossed it continues!) Nice and compact. Glad I chose this one.

I bought this to mainly use as a Time Machine back-up drive for my new MacBook. I split the drive to use half for back-up and half for file storage. It works great and files transfer very quickly. It's easy and small so I can plug it in for quick use and easily remove and store it until the next use, including transferring files between computers.

Je suis satisfait de mon achat, la vitesse de lecture et écriture est conforme à ce qui est annoncé si on le branche sur les prise USB 3.0. Moins rapide bien sûr sur les ports USB 2.0 Les commentaires qui se plaignent de la vitesse ont faillis me faire éviter d'acheter ce produit, heureusement que je ne les ai pas écouté. Je mets la photo du test de performance pour ceux que ça intéresse. De plus le disque dur étant formaté en exFat, les fichiers sont visibles sur les trois OS, Windows, Linux et Mac, ce dernier étant le plus difficile quant à la compatibilité avec NTFS.

Insanely useful. Has a nice feel to it. Sturdy and small enough to be in my pocket or a pouch in my bag, light and comes with a cable of decent size, with an adapter from USB to USB C, making it suitable for any device. You can’t get anything better for the price.
