Fine reissue + a new song
11 of the 12 songs appeared on the out-of-print 2-CD set on Bandit from several years ago. The performances were recorded in 2002 and feature Jones' abilities as a seventy-one year old. Respectable, but past his prime. The last track running 6m 12s was unreleased from 1993, and was recorded as a warm-up to a "Bradley's Barn" session. Jones' voice is hoarse in places, while guests Connie Smith, Waylon Jennings & Jessi Colter Ricky Skaggs, Travis Tritt and Marty Stuart contribute verses well. What suprises me is that Connie, Waylon & Jessi don't appear on the released Bradley's Barn CD, and I wonder if there are unreleased duets in the archives. Why else would they be there ?

Amazing Grace George Jones
Nice selection of country gospel music. George Jones has a very clear good voice. Gospel songs sung with feeling. Enjoyable and pleasant country background music that is easy on the ear and relaxing. I have been looking for his cd with these songs for years. Welcome aboard my cd collection George.
