Tamagotchi Original - Neon Lights

This Tamagotchi was a huge hit with the kids! They absolutely love taking care of their virtual pet, and it keeps them entertained for hours. It’s surprisingly durable, too—it has been dropped a few times, but it still works perfectly fine, which is a big plus when it comes to kids' toys.For me, this was such a nostalgic purchase since I had Tamagotchis growing up as well. It brought back so many memories, and I love that I get to share that experience with the next generation. The colors and design are vibrant and fun, making it even more appealing.Overall, this is a great gift for kids (and kids at heart) who enjoy interactive and engaging toys. I never had a tamagotchi growing up, and totally missed out on the original craze back in the day. With these new re-releases though, I decided to pick one up - and oh boy, it's simple but I love it so much! I picked out the blue colored Amazon exclusive tamagotchi, purely because it comes with a plastic case, while the others do not. And I'm glad I did, as the case does protect the entire unit, and so far has done a great job of protecting it from getting damaged. I've dropped this several times, I accidentally stepped on it, and it got rained on a little bit when attached to my bag - so definitely like the case, even if it's just a plastic clip-on piece. Now for the tamagotchi itself - there is a bit of a learning curve, but after a day I figured it out. The instructions it came with were vague, so googling all my questions really made a difference. The programming on this is almost identical to the originals, it is fairly simple; definitely recommend to anuone new to taking care of a tamagotchi. Now my only complaint is that the device makes these awful and loud beeping noises every time you press a button, BUT you can turn it off by holding the A and C buttons at the same time. The tamagotchi will still make a sound when it needs something, though. I will eventually get another one in a different colors, as I did have a hard time picking out just one as my favorite!

This was a gift for my teenage daughter. She loves it and enjoys playing with it. It's a Gen 1 model. She's had 2 pets so far, one that aged and turned into an angel, and the current one that turned into a secret character. She was excited about that. It's a good quality product. There have been no issues with the screen on game play. The design is very cute. Would recommend. I also bought a Gen 2 version for my other daughter. It won't allow me to write a review for that one. So I'll include a picture of it, it's the black sparkle one. And it's just as good as the sprinkle one. Very happy with both.

I had one of these when I was a kid, so I picked one up for my daughter, and it’s been a hit! It’s just like I remember—feeding, cleaning up after it, giving it medicine, and even disciplining it when it gets a little out of hand. 😂The pink sprinkles shell is super cute, and my daughter really enjoys the character guessing game. She’s obsessed with taking care of it and watching it grow from an egg to an adult.It comes with the battery and a keychain, so she can take it with her everywhere. It’s been so fun to share this little piece of my childhood with her, and she’s loving it just as much as I did!

My son loved it, but it stopped working after a week. Middle button not functioning.
