Body-Tec Adjustable Stabilising neoprene knee support NHS use

I injured my knee ten years ago. Was warned possible problems later. Now very active 70 yrs,. Horrified when knee joint kept buckling. Then pain at front and back. Bought very expensive supports. They slipped. They curled up and down. They made legs swell. Read reviews about this and thought for so little money, nothing to lose. Sooo pleased I tried this. Am five foot six female. Weigh 11stone 9lbs (reducing due to knee). Purchased large. At first thought too tight, but after wearing for two days realised it fitted perfectly, and the others, whilst somewhat effective, were not doing the job. Support is excellent. Pain relief whilst not gone is now beareable. Have bought another as not sure this can be washed. Try it.

This knee brace is sold at £6.95 through Amazon and as a "prime" item.Prime items promise next day delivery for Amazon prime membersThere is NO indication as to any potential additional postages charge ages in Edgardo to non prime members.You cannot rely on the next day delivery promise.The brace was delivered in an adequate time frame alongside other ordered items.I have a a knee problem for 20 years or so and lots of experience of numerous knee braces and supports.It is with tat experience and a close examination of his "support" that I say the following.First thing to be said is that the material is very thin and lightweight.The Velcro fastening is insufficient for purpose.The cut of the material is such that it is very difficult to get an all round comfortably tight fit. Behind the knee bags up.The plasticky type, at a guess 2 mm neoprene or less is uncomfortable next to skin. It is only a short time before the area covered will become sweaty next to as skin.Sweaty cheap thin neoprene with poor strapping and an over baggy area equals movement. This can cause chaffing and irritation.A possible shirt term solution is to wear over a stocking type tube bandage.This marerial does not wash well which does not in turn work well one sweaty.It will only e a matter of a small length of time, if used daily during typical working hours that this will stretch and become even more unreliableHad I been aware of the thin issue I would not ave bought it. I can barely give it a three star rating based upon the assumption of a short term use which is the probable use period of the majority of users. That and occasional much shorter uses. By that I mean no more than two weeks.I make this review based on my opinions gleaned through decades of experiences in a professional occupation, as a consumer, property owner and raising a family.I hope that this review has been of assistance to you. bought the large so that it is tight and supportive, and as it wears wont end up to lose. It is very tight though, and although i have quite muscualr legs, i think the XL may have been better. Cna't imagaine that if your legs are huge that even that would fit.once it's on, though, it feels very supportive, and the aluminium stays are flexible and springy.Once it loosens off naturally, i think it will be perfect.

Excellent product and service

I have had a double knee operation and have arthritis of both kneecaps and haven't ran since I was 29 (I'm 36 now) due to this problem. I bought the large knee supports after reading a lot of reviews and have found them to be brilliant. I can now go for a run and my knees will hold out easily thanks to the support that these supports give them. The double strapping prevent the support from slipping down the leg and overall is of a quality that is better than supports you would buy at 4 times the cost! Don't waste your money on other, get these! Make sure and measure your knee properly, around the knee at the centre of the kneecap, and you won't be disappointed.

I work part-time as a vehicle photographer, a role that can involve a lot of moving, crouching and climbing. In recent weeks, I felt my knees needed a bit of support - so I bought these for that purpose. I also thought they'd give my knees a bit of protection against hitting things. I wear baggy work trousers, so put them on underneath. I felt that I'd look like an '80s WWF wrestler if I put them on the outside.I wore them for a couple of hours before being forced to take them off. The lack of elasticity in the Velcro straps means that they work as a tourniquet when you squat down - not good. They also slip and move around on your leg. I decided to give them a second go, this time cutting off the Velcro straps with a view to just using them as padding. But, they slipped around again - to the point where I felt they were doing more harm than good.I appreciate that I was probably trying to use them for a purpose they were not designed for, ie. supporting a knee after an injury where the wearer isn't running and crouching every minute or so. But even so, I don't think I'd recommend these to someone with an injury.

Ordered XXL but this is a joke, and is so small it is useless, a total waste of money.Like many COMPANIES today, they say one thing and it turns out what they say is meaningless. (It's all about saving money with them, not about customer satisfaction any longer)As you can see from the photo, I have placed it on my arms and it is a snug fit, so what chance my leg?Do not waste your time or money with this unless you are able to get at least two or three sizes above what you want
