I acquired the Aum Journal in my quest to get a decent journal for an English Lit and Creative Writing student, and one of the things that I look for is the paper quality.Honestly, this quality is fantastic. Fountain pen doesn't bleed and it dries quickly, so there are no smudges. Biro doesn't leave those ridges that you sometimes get on the other side of the paper, and although you can see the words faintly, it really isn't that noticeable.The notebook also lies flat without the hideous noise of breaking a notebook's spine which is a HUGE bonus!I can't recommend these journals and their refills enough. To be honest, if you didn't want the cover, you could probably just write in these refills, but I would also get a cover - it just looks so good!
