1st time ordering plants on Amazon VERY HAPPY!! Healthy plants, beautifully packaged!
In the middle of hot/dry summer, I ordered Eclipse, a 2024 Intro that is hard to find and Flowerfull, 2025's featured intro from Bailey Nursery/First Editions that promises abundant blooms on strong stems and rebloom. Having never ordered plants online AND since it was the middle of August, I set my expectations VERY low, hoping I wouldn't find small, wilted plants, that were near death. Instead, the plants that arrived were lush, full, HUGE, carefully packaged and simply gorgeous! This seller completely exceeded my expectations! Flowerfull still had blooms and the rest of the season to enjoy! I watered them well and placed in a partly shaded location. The last pic is from day 2 and I would have thought these came from a premier local garden center. I will definitely order more FIRST EDITIONS hydrangeas again!

Arrived beautiful
There aren't any flowers on it right now, but the leaves are a beautiful deep purple and it arrived healthy. I planted it right away and now it is raining.. so perfect timing!

Poor Product
The hydrangea arrived completely wilted and in distress. After gentle care, water, and replanting it is not recovering. The root ball was very weak, underdeveloped, and falling apart.

Eclipse Hydrangea ( new variety)
I first saw this on a gardening program on T.V that said this was a new variety of Hydrangea with large purple leaves. I called my local nursery who didn't have it or had even heard of it so I Googled it and it found plant info and ordered it from Amazon. I've never ordered a live plant before. It arrived healthy with little purple leaf buds. I live in coastal Wa. state and have just put the plant under a protected covered deck and set it in the sunThe last 3 pics were taken after having the Hydrangea for 3 mo. in a pot.and water it during nice weather. I'll wait to plant it when the threat of frost is over. I was pleased at how healthy the plant was arriving all the way from a Michigan nursery. I gave it a little spritz of Neem oil just to insure it didn't arrive with any parasites or aquire any from my property.I also ordered another Hydrangea I found while shopping for the Eclipse called Little Lime Punch which is a miniature Hydrangea I'd never heard of before. Arrived with little green leaf budsa and is also doing well, I can't wait to see them both bloom.I'm updating my review to include a picture of the Eclipse Hydrangea & The Little Lime Punch miniature hydrangea.

Shocked Me with a Gorgeous Plant!
I was incredibly hesitant buying this hydrangea on Amazon, as a rule I like to buy my garden plants locally. BUT I couldn’t find it anywhere and I wanted it! I figured it might be a toss up on whether or not I got a good one, but I could always request a refund. That said I am thrilled! I really received a beautiful plant with way more growth than I thought. The leaves have the dark color as expected. Its fullness is lopsided, initially I thought from just being in the box, but I think one side must have receive more sun or something. I am 100% sure that it will even out once planted in my yard and with any pruning I do over the seasons. So it is not a big deal. Out of the box the hydrangea was obviously thirsty and a little smushed, but after a couple days out and a nice drink she is looking healthy and beautiful (see photo). Absolutely worth the price, especially since the online nurseries I had never heard of were selling for double the cost for quart size.

Packaging was good, but the plant, not so much
The packaging the plants came in was great, but one of the plants was beat up. It looks like Edward Scissorhands trimmed it. The leaves were all beat up and had some fungus spots on the leaves. The root system looked awful—very short and shallow roots. I still gave it two stars because it is still better than what you can get at the big box stores...

This plant is beautiful
First planted the first edition Elipse Hydrangea in spring and it make it through the summer. It likes the north side of the house best; it gets sun from the east in the morning. The color of leaves is very beautiful and I'm looking foward to it flowering next year.
