Electra Townie XL Bicycle Saddle (Black)

My wife's sister borrowed her bike for a few years and when she returned it the seat had scene better days. I found this exact OEM replacement on amazon so just hoped it was not a rebranded knock off. Nope it is the real thing and was a direct fit replacement. Very comfortable, well padded with springs and hardware to attach to the seat post was included.

The seat looks thinner than my original Electra Ergo regular size seat... the new seat cushion is a lot thinner... I am not impressed, another $$$ pit investment. What is going on with Electra? why are there parts for bikes so low on quality? sad..... anyways... I will wear the crap our of this seat in order to find me a more quality cushion-eee ergo seat that will not compromise my rumpus bottomus or my inve$tment ! :(

Expensive and hard to find in the XL size. But it is a real Townie part and worth the price.Not really the most comfortable because everyones rear isn't the same.NOT a soft cushy seat. It is firm and solid.Better off with a non contoured seat.

This XL saddle is a few inches wider than Electra's standard saddles which makes it more comfortable for the mature rider. The foam padding is about a inch thinner and gives the rider a firmer seating position, so there is no sensation of sitting on a marshmallow that most gel seats offer. The seat is equipped with the polymer suspension to absorb road vibrations and bumps. The finish and construction is top of the line, Electra quality.

I bought this seat as a replacement for the stock seat on my new Verve 2 bicycle. It's better than the stock seat -- but still not great. My rear still hurts within about 20 minutes. Still looking for something more comfy.
