Good quality item
F.Y.I. for those out there like me DJing with Technics SL12**(or some of the copies e.g. Audio Technica etc.)decks and particularly if your actually playing real records as opposed to using them with serato/traktor TCV system and either want to or like me need to replace cartridge and stylus, in my case Stanton AL500 v3 cartridges with Stanton N500s stylus' both long out of production and only dubious copies of the stylus available, I'm pleased to say i've found an excellent solution that isn't silly money in a pair of Numark CS-1 concord style cart/stylus designed by Ortofon and made in Japan purchased along with a digital Turntable stylus weight scale only £6.99 which is I can confirm is a fantastic way to be sure your tone arm is calibrated to correct weight for them(see pics) and can say they are sounding and performing superbly so far with initial tests I've done!

Great Bargain!!!!
Ordered this on Wed arrived on Fri, great service. About five minutes after taking it out of it's box I was ready to hear some music, it took me longer to decide what to play first, in the end I went with David Bowie, The Man Who Sold The World, from the very first note I knew I had made a great choice,in both music and cartridge, Mick Ronson's guitar jumped out of the speakers, Bowie's vocal is centre stage, but best of all was Tony Visconti bass line driving everything forward. next up was The Allman Brothers, the same results, crisp and clear guitar and vocals, but that bass is tight and driving, it;s now four hours and many more albums later, ranging from Ry Cooder to Little Feat, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, C,S,N,Y. Queen, and I realize I have to turn the HiFi off, my poor dog's are still waiting for their morning walk,

Good value, don't be put off by the price
Bought a pair of these as replacement for some 8 year old Stanton cartridges and the now obsolete v500 stylus'. Read the reviews and thought I'd give them a go as I didn't want to spend silly money on the big name alternatives. Went crazy and spent £5 on a new Amazon basics cable set too. Took 30 seconds to connect and balance each tone arm. My low expectations were exceeded ten fold, and will be getting a second set for another pair of 1210's I have tucked away. Very decent for the price, and very happy with the purchases.

Excellent sound quality.
Thought I would treat myself to a new cartridge, chose this one as I know the brand. Before I swapped it over, I played one of my favourite record’s at a healthy volume. Put the Numark cartridge on, played the same record, the volume & quality increased dramatically. Turned down the volume, swapped back to my old cartridge, I could barely hear it. I have a technics 1210 Mk2 turntable, to be fair my old cartridge was about 20 years old, I’m so glad I bought this though. The volume, sound & the style of the cartridge makes my deck even more appealing to me. I brilliant investment & a noticeable improvement in sound.

Upgrade
If you are still using the original head Cartlidge then upgrading is a must , the difference is sound quality is unbelievable. Best thing is after you have set tracking force ,tone arm height and anti skate You don’t need to align the cartridge. Worth every penny.

Started well .....then the sound went 🤯
Nice packaging and i dont mind the silver, they do gain volume over my stock needles and sounded so much clearer and better at the start. Only had them a few months and haven't really used em much as i am uploading to my pc and now the sound is awful, distorted especially vocals and treble and for some reason i am getting loads of crackles and pops. Now before you start i clean my vinyl with spincare and use an anti-static spray and cloth before i record anything. Steer well clear they are cheap for a reason, going to get ortos now 👍

Indispensable
Une cellule d'excellent qualité et bien moins chère que certaines concurrentes qui ne font pas mieux. Son clair, limpide et détaillé. Je redécouvre mes disques vinyles après 45 ans de stockage !

Night and day improvement over stock cart
I purchased the CS-1 to replace the stock cart that came with my Numark TTUSB Turntable with USB turntable. At the time i bought it (over a year and a half ago) it was $40 with prime shipping. I use my TT at home to listen to records, not for DJ use. I was blown away when i first switched out the cart, which takes only a minute as all you need to do is rebalance the counterweight. If you are seeking a striking improvement in sound from a budget turntable like i had then this is the go to guy. At MSRP this cart is a good value, At the current $85 is a great value, At the $40 price point when i got it, its unbeatable A quality product with a solid sound on all types of recordings, great tracking, and, did i mention it looks great paired with a Numark TT? Also note: The super high output design made it as loud as a line level input, even using the crappy onboard phono preamp with my TT. The sound only improved with addition of a budget phono preamp. Turnable: Numark TTUSB Turntable with USB Numark CS-1 Carl Cox Signature Model Stylus Music Hall MAT Decoupling Cork Turntable Platter Mat BBE FJB-200X Phono Preamp Receiver: Yamaha HTR 6140 Speakers: Paradigm 9se

Numark CS1 DJ Cartridge: "The Sounds You Can Touch!"
Numark CS1 DJ Cartridge: "The Sounds You Can Touch!" I am not a DJ and this is not a paid promotion. When I bought my Numark T1700, unfortunately it came with an Audio Technica AT3600L cartridge and stylus. Amazon delivered me Numark CS1professional DJ Cartridge, yesterday, on dot. Immediately I opened the parcel and found the Numark CS1, immaculately packed in an attractive plastic box. Swapping the cartridge was like a snap. No cumbersome changing of four coloured wires between the cartridge and headshell and no more laborious alignment process of the cartridge. I wish that all manufacturers would bring out cartridges with built-in headshells. After all, a cartridge lasts a life time and it is only the stylus that needs a replacement. After balancing the tone arm to zero, I set the tracking force to 2.5 gms (though the recommended tracking force is 3-6 gms.) and adjusted the anti skating accordingly and played my favourite LP. Numark CS1 has an Output of 6mV and Channel separation of 32dB and has a fine circular diamond stylus. The first thing I noticed was the higher volume output! I had to reduce the volume from the usual 10/30 to 7/30. The sound was crystal clear and crisp! The mid bass and higher treble were sharp with full middle range vocals. Amazingly, the clicks and pops were conspicuous by their absence! Surprisingly, the stylus did not even jump the tracks. This may be due to the circular stylus tip that abuts in the microscopic tracks securely. For the first time in my life, I had a quaint feeling that I could TOUCH those sounds! At last, I am happy that my Numark turntable is complete with Numark CS1 DJCartridge!
