Gripping
This is a brilliant horror series that takes place in Victorian London, featuring all sorts of monsters and creatures and iconic horror literature characters. This may not sound very appealing, but do yourself a favour and just watch it. Excellent performances all round, very high production values, lavish sets, great attention to detail and a gripping story line. I'm totally hooked!

Dark tales set in dark times
A wonderful set of characters brought together by time and circumstance to fight the forces of darkness. Despite their strengths, each have weaknesses and all must rely on each other as the fight progresses.Never has the term, "United we stand, divided we fall" ran truer.Dark tales set in dark times. An excellent addition to any supernatural series.

Fantastic entertainment.
Incredible quality in everything - plot, direction, acting, cinematography.Hard to single someone out but my favourite is Rory Kinnear's performance as the Creature.Brings together all the Gothic horror of vampires, werewolves, monsters.I wish more TV had this quality.

Imagine League of Extortionary Gentlemen but with nudity! That about sums it up. Brilliant never the less.

Il cofanetto è arrivato in condizioni perfette e avvolto nella plastica.Il cofanetto esterno di cartone contiene due case di plastica.Il case della prima stagione contiene 3 dischi, quello della seconda ne contiene quattro. Sfortunatamente, ho trovato i dischi abbastanza anonimi dal punto di vista estetico.Sia l'audio che il video sono perfetti.L'ho comprato anche per un'amica e ne è rimasta soddisfatta quanto me.

Il cofanetto è arrivato in condizioni perfette e avvolto nel cellofan. Non c'è assolutamente alcun difetto che abbia trovato. Ne ho comprato anche uno da regalare ad un'amica.

Série très prenante !!!!
Série juste énorme. Atmosphère un peu gothique dans un Londres tres obscurcie par certaines forces surnaturelles. Les personnages sont attachants et l'histoire tres prenante. On s'y plonge pour ne plus vouloir en sortir.

UNA MARAVILLA HECHA SERIE
La mejor serie de TV desde que terminó True Blood y que hace que me quede obnuvilado y me haga totalmente meterme en la historía. Actores maravillosos, escenarios sacados de un libro de Dickens, Londres del S.XVIII, historía.............¡Una Maravilla!. No tiene audio ni subtitulos en español.

Il est bien dommage que je n'ai pas compris que le coffret était en langue anglaise....et surtout sans sous-titres!! Donc, je me suis juste aperçu de ça et 2mn après, je refermais le coffret pour ne plus le rouvrir: Je me retrouve avec un article de 80.00euros inutile.

Penny Dreadful A Magnificent TV Show. Definitely FIVE STARS!!!
I didn't get to see this show when it originally aired on Showtime, but bought it on a friend recommendation. This show is Fabulous, Supernatural, Intriguing, Suspense, and a Horror story rolled up into one. After I viewed the first episode I was hooked. I wish I could have seen Penny Dreadful when it originally aired. And Sad that the show was canceled before I could enjoy this magnificent tv show. At least it's on DVD so I can binge watch it over and over again my favorite episodes.
