BOMATA Large Kitchen Scale 0.1g/0.001oz High Precision, 11lb Bakery Scale

After much browsing I bought this unit. I selected it because it has a bright display with a large enough platform so my large bowls dont hide it, without being too tall for the storage drawer. Also, it is USB rechargeable, has push buttons, not the horrid touch buttons. These are the features I required. I really don't need more than on/off, tare, and unit. Give me simplicity! But maybe in time I will find the other features helpful. It is insanely accurate, (to tenths of a gram, which is something I don't want and complicates the display, so I simply stuck a piece of black electrical tape ove the tenths place), and it comes with a calibrating weight. Really! I found that it is provided because different altitudes affect the weight--that's how precise this unit is! The user manual is a small slip of paper with fine print, and that discouraged me from thoroughly reading it. They really should provide instuctions with larger print to go with the scales fabulously readable display. Because of that problem, my first review had this complaint: "I really wish the auto turn-off gave way more time or could be turned off." Well, if I had read closely I would have learned that a long hold on the tare button allows the auto-off to be set at 1 min, (which is how it came, and it was killing me) to 2, 3 minutes, and never. That's awesome! What is also awesome is the customer responsiveness of this company. They read my review and promptly emailed me to resolve my dissatisfaction. Now I am delighted with the scale, even though I would like it to have a higher weight capacity than 11 pounds. But that's hard to find in a scale with all the other features I want. It otherwise is the perfect scale for my large batch breadbaking.

Defective upon receipt. The battery connector plate broke off while installing the batteries. I loved the hold function, percentage calculator and adjustable off setting that it advertised, but never got to use it. Having to return this one and will update based on replacement. UPDATE: SO I received a perfect unit and LOVE this scale! It is a great scale especially for making sourdough as it has a percentage button that calculates percentage weights according to the weight of the flour. The scale has multiple ways to charge including a rechargeable battery, using disposable batteries or plugging directly in, and I wanted to make sure that I had the ability to use all those options because we do not always want to have to plug in our scale, right? It has fantastic features for the home baker that beat out pricier brands. I really like the hold function for oversized items so it will hold the weight after you take it off so you can see the weight after the item is removed. You can also change the display time off to make sure it doesn't go off in the middle of your weighing. It has all the weighing weight units that I need and some that I'm sure I'll never use lol. I am so glad I got a good unit and now I am a happy sourdough baker! Hope it gives me many years of happy baking.

FIRST OFF — AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE. 10/10!!!! THANK YOU BOMATA TEAM!! My first scale broke after about... A month or two in after usage. One day it was fine and normal, the next – the on/off button wouldn't work and when I plugged it in, the numbers were going crazy. I was extremely disappointed because this is honestly the only best scale I've found when it comes to precision. I genuinely love this scale. I had lost all hope and ordered a different scale from a different brand, and that was a huge disappointment, won't get into that one. I returned it and got myself ANOTHER scale which was okay, just not precise. I tried plugging the original Bomata scale back in and it turns on, it appears to sort of work normally but... I'm not sure I trust the accuracy. It can only be "used" if it's plugged in. I randomly found the Bomata warranty and decided to give customer service a try and wow. They responded VERY quickly, were super amazing about the whole thing and got a replacement for my scale within two days. It was extremely fast, I am IMPRESSED. I love this scale. Now I have three; one broken, one bottom of the barrel that will become my "in case of emergency scale," and THIS awesome replacement! So, whatever, it is what it is. I'm happy. I'm really happy! Thank you again to the Bomata customer service team. You made this experience totally worth it. Should've done my due diligence sooner and looked for the warranty, and that's on me 100%. 1000/10 recommend this scale!

I really liked the BOMATA kitchen scale — it delivers excellent precision, especially for recipes that require highly accurate measurements. This is a decent scale for the price. The Pros: It is precise to 0.1g. I like that. This scale doesn't "beep" as much as some other scales I've used. I am very happy with that. I don't know why a scale needs to beep in the first place. Am I the only person with this perspective? Maybe. With some other scales, I want to say, "I don't need you to beep. I'm right here using you. I can see that I pushed the tare button. Let me work in peace." I can set the auto-off function. I really don't like scales turning off after thirty seconds of non-usage. I currently have the auto-off set for two minutes of inactivity. I could turn it off completely, but two minutes seems like a decent compromise. Cons: I tend to use a couple scales in the kitchen at the same time. In comparison, this one always looks dirtier than the other, even when I clean it. It also doesn't have the most rigid film over the display; kind of weirdly cheap in that regard. I was alarmed at first, but after quite a bit of use, it hasn't shown any wear or damage.

This scale is way larger than I expected. I bought it because of the dual function; it can be used with battery or plugged in. The plastic tray will definitely be used to capture any spills. The display screen is big and easy to read. I choose the colour black and I love how it looks. The buttons response is quick and immediate. I only use grams and ounces but there are other measurements that can be used. It will be easy to clean and easy to store away.

Simple. Absolutely love it. Large platform, accurate readings, and easy to use. Perfect for meal prepping weighing.

As the title says, very accurate scale! I've lost over 30 pounds since January weighing my food and watching what I eat. My other scale died in the middle of my journey and I bought this one to replace it. I've had it for a few months now and it's amazing. You can charge it or use batteries, which is noice!

Excellent item. Received today and tested all functions - works fine! The downside is the price: I've paid SGD70 here, but if order from TaoBao - it is SGD15... Anyway made in China, will think twice next time I need any appliance. Also batteries are not included, no problem. Manual is very basic, but at least in English.

I am very impressed with this kitchen scale. The precision is excellent and the 0.1 g accuracy makes a huge difference for baking, especially when working with doughs and recipes that need very exact measurements. It feels reliable and responds quickly without any of the jumping numbers you get on cheaper scales. The stainless steel pan is a nice size and easy to keep clean. The full view LCD is bright and clear from every angle which is helpful when the counter is crowded. I also like that it is USB rechargeable which saves faffing around with batteries. The percentage function is surprisingly useful. It makes scaling dough formulas far easier and has already helped me get much more consistent results with bread. A very good scale for anyone who bakes regularly. Well made, accurate and a pleasure to use. I am really pleased with it.

This is in every way an excellent product. Useful in many other application also, not just for kitchen. It even comes with 100 gram calibration weight. For power it has USB3 input, internal lithium battery, and also a slot for two AAA batteries. The power-off delay (auto.off) is adjustable by four steps: 1min, 2min, 3min and indefinite (that is the auto-off is disabled). The display is very esily readable even from distance, numbers are big, about 26 mm in height, and it is illuminated, the illumination can also be switched off. After power on (from the On/Off button) it is in working order very quickly, in about 2 seconds or less. I have been using it for 22 days for now, on the internal lithium battery, that I first charged fully using the USB3 connection. It has been on 4 to 8 minutes daily, with the display light on, and the battery indicator still shows full. The attached file is my scan of the English portion of the printed User Manual.
