I plan to use it to secure my GoPro clone during dives. It would be nice if there were snap bolts instead of the plastic 'suicide' clips. The spiral is made of flexible plastic, which I expect to break at some point. I wouldn't use it for anything heavy. The snap clip in the middle is really large, and should be easy to operate even with dive gloves, which I consider a plus.

So I originally bought one of these to test on my tld25 reels but unfortunately the clip is too big to go in the ring on the backside of the reel. I could get a carabiner or something then use this but then I got to thinking about the plastic clips and how much a tarpon pulls. It would break that clip right off and the coil would probably slide over and I’d lose the reel so I think I’ll use this for something else. Maybe my 45c or something. The coil is strong, I tried stretching it out and it went right back so I’m not worried about it. I’m more worried about the plastic clips.

Perfect for kayaking, snorkling, and scuba. I have a variety of lanyards, leashes, clips and retainers I use for water activities, and this is one of the nicest. The buckle to bring the two ends of the coiled cable together is genius. The paddle cord is a better weight than many I have used, and the clips are upgraded quality to metal click-shut loops as opposed to simple plastic pressure tongue.

You get what you paid for - very thin and flimsy - I wouldn’t attach anything of value to it!

Bought as a gift for my daughter for her dive flashlight. Can attach to any d-ring on the BCD and with the coil the flashlight is always handy

I was expecting good qualityBut I am pretty sure the production cost for the material is not more then 0.80 dollars because of cheap string

I really liked using it for my camera and I rinsed in in fresh water each day, but the snap clips are not high quality stainless steel.

Great for securing my camera while snorkeling.
