Quality material. Poor fit and carries weight to low.
This pack sits to low. I'm 6 feet, 175. I can't get the waist belt tightened up enough either. I like the material and actually have the trailblazer 2 by crooked horn that fits me great. Was hoping this would be the same type of fit but a bit more volume. I have to return it after trying it on with 10lbs in it. I think it'd be a nice pack for putting in your truck but I would hate to have to hike with it for more than a few miles. Also, the backing on it has zero air flow so I'm sure it would be really hot to carry in any type of warm weather. All in all the pack just carries the weight to low and sort of hangs off the back because of this. for this price I would upgrade to something more expensive or shop around a bit. The Tenzing fit me better but the durability wasn't as good as the Crooked Horn. Ended up with a Hill People UTE backpack. Not cheap but in a whole new league.

Old Master Guide better than new one
The pack was superbly made, but had less room in it than the original Master Guide Backpack that was given to me as a present about 10 years ago. I'm having the old one refurbished. The old one had water bottle compartments on the outside of the pack. The new one has them built into the front sides, thus giving up storage in the main compartment.
