Whats the water for, what does it do for making the smores?

Microwaves work by making water molecules vibrate really quickly so that they produce heat. By having water vapor come out and saturate the air, it helps cook everything more evenly.

Does the marshmallow get toasted any??

I believe melted is the right word to describe it since the marshmallows were between the Graham crackers. They can get really messy, but serves the purpose.

What’s the difference between just putting two s’mores in the microwave with a cup of water and this?

Hi! I've never tried that before but I guess that method should work too since the idea is to create steam. At the same time, the hands on this little guy work to hold everything together even when microwaving so unless you find some sort of weight to use. At the end of the day, at least for me, with this I don't have to think much, is super easy to use and I just wipe clean most of the time and goes back to its storage, besides is super adorable and the kids love how it looks.
