X-Sense Water Leak Detector 3-Pack, 120 dB, SWS54 Add-On (SWS51), Base Req.

My wife and I own two condos in Maui. Our AOAO is now requiring leak detectors to help prevent water damage due to leaks while owners are away from their property. We researched several leak detectors that meet the association criteria (sensors located at every water source, wireless connection with 24/7 monitoring, battery state indicators and low battery level warning, multi-property support, Safety agency approved, etc...) and selected this X-Sense system with 10 sensors for each condo. The system was easy to set up and use. While we were concerned over the WiFi 2.4GHz bandwidth requirement, it turned out our multi-band routers hooked up to the base station without issue. It will also survive a power failure which is comforting to know. We were so happy with the system we bought a third system for use in our home in California. We have the X-Sense app on both of our phones now, each of which with a drop down-menu showing the state of all sensors at any one of the three properties. The system claims to support up to 5 households with up to 50 devices each (not just leak sensors but other function like smoke & CO2 detectors). We have had the systems for a few weeks now and outside one alarm (triggered by our cleaner who accidentally brushed up against a sensor in the kitchen with her mop) we have had no issues.

Easy setup. Let's me notifies me if it looses power. So far they are great. They give me peace of mind when not at home. Sensor is loud enough to hear it. They stay connected and they seem to be working accurately.

I installed the X-Sense Wi-Fi Water Leak Detectors mainly as a precaution around the basement, sump pump, and utility area, and they already proved their value. A few weeks after setting them up, our sump pump failed during heavy rain and the detector sent an alert to my phone almost immediately. I was able to get downstairs and deal with the problem before the pit overflowed and flooded the basement. That alone made these worth every dollar. Setup was straightforward, and the Wi-Fi connection has been stable so far. Notifications come through quickly, and the app makes it easy to see which sensor triggered. I also like that the alarm on the unit itself is loud enough to hear if you’re in the house, but the phone alert is what really makes the difference when you’re not home. Build quality seems good, and the sensors are small enough to place anywhere you might have a leak risk - sump pump, water heater, under sinks, behind the washing machine, etc. Battery installation was simple and the app walked through pairing without much trouble. If you own a home with a basement, sump pump, or anything that could leak, I highly recommend these. Mine already prevented what could have been a very expensive mess, and that makes this one of the easiest 5-star reviews I’ve written.

Outstanding. Works like a charm, no false alarms, ever. Easy to install. Instead of just putting on the floor, I use as a sump pump alarm. Turn it upside down and use velcro tape to attach to the underside of my sump cover.

The water leak detector base and sensors are easy to setup. The app works well, but there is no way to disable the alarm sounds on the base or sensors. You can reduce the volume and turn off the voice alerts, but they will still cause a rude awakening if they go off in the middle of the night. I called X-Sense support and confirmed this. You will have to open each one and unplug the little speaker. The app notifications/emails still send ok. Plus you still get the led alert on the top of the base. Other than that, they tested well with putting water on the sensors. The mobile app alerts are good enough for my needs without an audio beep in my house. Be sure to mark the sensors as you setup and name them or you will lose track of what you named it in the app. The sensors have two regular AAA batteries pre-installed. Not sure how long they will last. I'll have to climb up into the attic when the Low Battery alert is received.

We have been using these detectors for about 1 year. We had no leaks so I wasn't sure how to rate these until now. Last week when the alarm sounded, we weren't quite sure what the alarm was, as the main home box is not in view. The alarm then sounded through my cell phone. I looked at the phone and sure enough, the alert indicated we had a leak at the kitchen sink sensor. The leak was very slight but the sensor did its job! Now I can say that these leak detectors are worth the price!!! Saved us from a nasty water mess under the sink! I recommend them for everyone.

I have these leak sensors all around my house for peace of mind. First off they are very easy to set up, took more time to take them out of the package then to pair. All the sensors have stayed connected without issue since I first paired them and the base station in my basement so they have good range. I like how simple the x sense app and so many features I don’t use yet. They do have a paid service but it is not required to get notifications. Overall very happy with x sense! Wish they would come up with a water shut off that could be triggered when a sensor senses water but maybe one day!!!

This was the second time I ordered X-Sense alarms from Daveberry. With tariff disruptions worldwide, both times the orders got delayed. But, Doveberry kept me informed about the status and was transparent about it. I found them to be very professional.

Easy setup, and reliable

These water leak detection sensors work well. I already had 'dumb' stand alone sensors that don't connect to wifi, but my concern was I would not hear them if I wasn't near by, or outside the house. The X-Sense wifi detector gives me more piece of mind. What I experience: When one of the 3 leak sensors goes off, about 1-2 seconds later the main base also sounds an alarm but much louder and I get a critical alert on my phone from the downloaded app. I worked seamlessly. To test it I dipped on of the sensors in water which initiated the whole process. When I took the sensor out of the water the alarms stopped and I got a new message that the leak had stopped. The sensor alarm is a short repeating beep which is not even as loud as the alarm on my stove. The base alarm is much louder and can be heard all through the house, so place that alarm somewhere central. I like that the base came with a usb cord and power plug. There are buttons on all of the items to silence them, as well it can be done from the app. I also like that the sensors came with AAA batteries included and installed, but that they can be replaced when they eventually die. All of this makes it ready to go easily right out of the box, you just need to download the app and pair all the items. One thing I would like is if more than one email address could be added to the app for an email alert. Overall I'm quite please.

Super easy set-up via app so was up & running within 10-minutes. Tested each sensor individually via the app but also poured some water beside one of the sensors and it worked exactly as billed as heard the alarm and received the notification in the app and via email so very happy with the ease of set-up, overall value and accuracy, so far. I liked the format with one base station & 3 remote sensors as it fit my small condo better than other alternate options I'd researched. Appreciate the piece of mind sensors offer while I'm gone all day at work as have had one internal water leak and one external leak that infiltrated my condo in last several years have lived here. Quite happy with the purchase so far.
