Very well produced book on urban art photography. Contrast of light and dark is what photographer Alan Schaller works with in cities around the world and you will not find more striking images illustrating this. There are some design issues with placement of some images on the page, but other than that, this is an excellent coffee table size book on this type of black and white photography.

This book is gorgeous. If you enjoy composition-centric, often minimalist photography, or are a fan of street photography, this is a great inspirational piece. He has a great YouTube channel as well, he is extremely engaging, and helpful with teaching his craft.

The seller of this book is not good. Had to return the first one due to corners being damaged. The second wasn’t perfect but good enough to keep. The pictures are from the book I kept. The book itself is amazing. The rich blacks on each page draw you in. The paper weight is heavy. The book is quality. teNeues is an amazing Publishing house for photography. Perhaps find an alternative way to purchase.

I am a photographer and collector of photo and other art books. This is one of the best art/photo books I have ever seen. Tons of images all in a consistent, awesome style. There must be almost 100 images I would be happy to have printed, framed, and put on my wall at home.

The book is larger than I expected. Should have read the description, but for images, the bigger the better. The images are excellent and the prints on the pages are excellent. Only issue is the book had bents on the corners. Not sure if it's Amazon issue or Amazon received the books like that because the book was in an Amazon box and shrink wrapped.

Alan es un fotógrafo excepcional, su libro en blanco y negro es sencillamente espectacular. De acuerdo a los comentarios que leí, esperaba que el libro me llegaría con daños en la tapa o algo por el estilo, pero no fue así, el libro me llego a Perú en perfecto estado, quizá tenga que ver mucho el courier que lo transporta. En unas 3 o 5 Hojas hay manchas blancas o salpicaduras, pero mínimas que se pueden limpiar con un trapo seco de fibra con mucho cuidado, imagino son restos del proceso de impresión. Estoy muy complacido con el libro de Alan.

The book arrived in very bad shape. It seems is poor quality of the cover and production deficiencies. there were no evidence of mistreatment in the box. So, I think the product was wrapped in that bad state from printer. There are several 1 star reviews stating the same defect

The photos themselves are gorgeous - that’s why I decided to get the book. However, the same can’t be said for the condition my supposedly “brand new” photobook came in. The corners are dinged up and dented, and every page in the book is also folded in the corners as a result. Terrible packaging if I’m going to be perfectly honest. I can’t understand why Amazon wouldn’t at least wrap up a book that costs this much in bubble wrap, especially considering the fact that I ordered internationally.

Drugi raz zamawiam ten sam album licząc na to że dotrze w normalnym stanie. Ale Amazon pakuje ciężką książkę w kartonową kopertę bez zabezpieczenia. To musie się uszkodzić w czasie przeładunków. Niestety nie dane mi jest zobaczyć zdjęcia .... Niska ocena za obsługę sklepu !!

Love Alan’s work. Been following him on Instagram for a while and his YouTube work also, so it’s great to see his work in print. The printing is great, not quite as good as some high end stuff from Taschen but it’s still good enough, and despite what some previous reviewers have said about white spots in the black pages, which is in fact just paper dust from the cutting process and can be wiped away. Overall it’s a great book full of exceptional images from one of the UK’s best photographers.

Wenn man ernsthafter in die Fotografie einsteigt und Architektur- oder Streetfotografie anstrebt, kommt man m.E. um die fantastischen Aufnahmen von Allan Schaller -schon zur Inspiration- nicht herum. Ich kann aber nicht empfehlen, den Bildband schicken zu lassen. Wie so oft, kommen hochwertige Bildbände über Malerei oder Fotografie meist beschädigt, zerbeult, angerissen an den Ecken brutal eingeknickt und als eingebundenes Buch an allen vier Ecken eingeknickt beim Leser an. Ich weiß nicht, ob die Lieferfahrer oder Ladekräfte die Buchsendungen einfach hochkant durch die Luft auf den Boden der Lieferfahrzeuge schmeißen, aber dieses Elend tue ich mir nicht mehr an. So ein Bildband steht Jahrelang in einem schönen Regal und wird immer wieder einmal herausgenommen, um die phantastische Arbeit der Künstler zu genießen. Aber nicht wenn es eingeknickt wie das Schulbuch eine Pennälers ist. Ich kauf demnächst im Kunstbuchhandel.

el contenido es excelente, el encuadernado y la construcción se sienten de muy buena calidad, me encanta el estilo fotográfico blanco y negro de Allan Schaller. si le pongo muy baja calificación es debido a que una vez mas hago hincapié a la pésima manera de Amazon de empaquetar los productos, en este caso únicamente metieron el libro dentro de la caja, no se tomaron la "molestia" de agregar plástico burbuja o algún material que amortiguara el movimiento de la caja, el libro llego roto en la parte de abajo anexo unas fotos como evidencia, de suerte que el daño no fue mayor porque simplemente lo metieron dentro de la caja sin ponerle nada en el interior, revisare si puedo repararlo de alguna manera si no lo devolveré, tomando en cuenta que no es un libro barato Amazon debió de haberlo protegido con algo, en cuanto al contenido del libro si te gusta la fotografía blanco y negro te lo recomiendo ampliamente.
