I felt like my garage door not closing on sunny days was probably just a petty problem, but honestly every sunny day between 11 am and 3 pm, if I went anywhere I had to pull the car out of garage, get out of the car, press and hold the garage door opener button on the wall inside garage to get it to close. Then walk through the house and come out the front door and lock the front door. Then I could get in the car again and finally leave. I called a garage door repair company and the guy said he’d prob put on new sensors and also “sun shields.” We had tried homemade sun shields with toilet paper tubes, but it didn’t work. I didn’t know this product was something I could just buy for like $10. Like I said in title….it’s like magic! Worked immediately and worked ever since. Simple, inexpensive solution. I can’t believe I put up with that inconvenience unnecessarily for so long! If you have the sunny day GDO problem, give these a try.

Out of nowhere, our garage door kept refusing to close. The only thing I could come up with is that the shadows cast on the driveway during certain times of day were triggering the sensors. This became a major issue for our Key Deliveries. It was causing the drivers to have to take a lot of time to try and close the garage door or contact Amazon and report the issue. I felt terrible. It was also really irritating when backing out the car and having to get out to fiddle with the darn door. I decided to search online to see if anyone else was having these issues and sure enough it’s a thing. That research led me to these handy dandy contraptions. 5 min to install. Issue resolved. Worth every penny!
