Compact Travel Umbrella UV Protection Sunshade - Silver

This is a great little item. I'm a sun hater, easily burned and prone to fainting so a job which requires me to spend 90 minutes in a playground in the midday sun means I have to be equipped with decent protection. And so far this is it. Aside from the constant questions from children wondering why I'm carrying an umbrella, this is ideal. The dark lining keeps it cool and shaded under the umbrella. I'd say the handle and opening mechanism are a little flimsy but as long as you're careful with it and don't keep opening and shutting all the time it should be ok. Even if it just lasts the summer I'll be happy. A good buy.

I go for walks round the local area on my lunch break and it can get scorching hot on one stretch of road as there's no shade and it's quite sheltered so no wind either, I always end up feeling baked afterwards. This umbrella really helps take the edge of the heat and provides lovely shade. The black inner lining helps keep me cool also. I did feel a bit silly walking with an umbrella when it wasn't raining but if it's a choice between not looking daft and being roasting hot, I know which I'd rather.

On the plus side it is a very good size when open. I haven’t used it yet, but can see it will serve the main purpose of keeping the suns harmful rays from me. A bit fiddly to open but not that bad.On the negative side, this is not an ultra light umbrella. I have another older, well worn, similar umbrella which has been great. My new umbrella is twice the weight! I am quite disappointed at this, but for the price and the fact it will cover me well, I can put up with this.

Best Sun shade umbrella I have ever used! When I sit under this special umberella it’s similar to sitting near a fresh water cooling waterfall without the water. I feel confident that the harmful UV from the sunshine can’t get to me. Well recommended for anyone that needs to keep harmful UV rays off them or anyone else that appreciates the benefits of this Guaranteed NO HARMFUL UV RAYS ON THIER SKIN.

Sometimes I find wearing sunglasses spoils the view and hats get too hot so this parasol seemed like the perfect answer to very bright sunlight. It's a great thing - as soon as you put it up you feel calm and cool. Okay, dogs will bark at you and people will give you the odd strange look, but it's worth it. I love mine. The only fault I can find with it is that sometimes (when used in quite windy conditions) it can be difficult to close because the hinges stick. Aside from that I love it. It's kind of modern and science-fi-y - not girly at all.

I have bought this item before and thought I had lost it, so sent for another one. Therefore have had experience over three years of using this. I find it is tremendously good in the heat and sun and am so glad I bought it. As it’s a rain umbrella too, then a good dual use item. I wish it were a little lighter but then I suppose it would be flimsy, which it is not!

Arrived very promptly. Seems good sturdy quality. Think it is good to have black underside for anti UV as it stops light bouncing around underneath the canopy. But the description said the boxed weight was 257g. But the actual weight of the umbrella inside its case is 307g. I would have tried a different product had I known that but it is hard to get UV protection and low weight - obviously if you have accurate information you can make an informed choice.

The silver upper and black lower surfaces work really well to keep the sun at bay.The whole thing weighs 310g with cover, about 305g without the cover.If you're in the market for a portable sun-shade that can also keep the odd shower off you, then this would definitely be worth a look!
