What I did to Setup the Sear hope this helps.
I was in between the Trufire sear, or the Ultraview hinge, I chose this release due to brand loyalty. I have a trigger release by Trufire, the Trufire synapse, so i decide to stay loyal since the synapse was great and love that release. First initial impressions of the Trufire Sear was very nice coming out of the box, fits the hand really well, no hot spots, and brass so you feel the weight of it in your hands. Only thing I don't like is that the paint is starting come off from use and as soon as I recieved it the paint was already coming off, seems like you can rub the paint off. Later down the road ill powder coat it so it will for sure stay on then. I recommend if you have one already or have made one a shot trainer!! You want to 1) get use to the click and the way to rotate it in your hand using your ring, and middle fingers. 2) adjust the sear and how long of a click you want, and how hot you want, or how quick after the click you want it to fire. 3) watch the setup video on how to set it up on youtube, and adjust your hot cold settings and what click you want and fine tune it before you pull back on a bow! 4) once you feel comfortable with your adjustments, and the way it functions, I recommend learning how to pull back with out a bow. What I did was use string tie to a door know or loop either way and learn how to pull the door with the string and Sear with out allowing it to fire. 5) Blank bail,or shoot right in front of target, learn how to safely pull back with the Sear and fire as many rounds until your comfortable. 6) Learn how to let down while blank bailing and shooting up close. Once you feel comfortable step back and shoot a few ends, after you feel comfortable with everything, make any final adjustments, then lock tight the set screws that go up against the sear. I personally used high strength orange removable, but I believe in the video on youtube it states to use blue loctite, all I had was Orange. Hope all this helps as of this review I have roughly shot 50 arrows, while utilizing it ,and so far I give it 4 stars. If the paint wouldn't fade and the set screws were better I would give it a 5. Shooting wise Great! I just see alot of negative posts, and never saw a step by step review of how to setup one up. Hope this helps the next person.

First Hinge release
Feels incredible but as the title says this is my first hinge release. I have shot with it a few times and it does take some adjusting to get used to. My Only complaint is when adjusting between the 4 click settings it will not rotate with out get caught up (the pic with blue arrow shows where it is getting stuck). Since I am getting stuck there I decided to keep the clicker at the set up it cam to me in.

Great release, difficult to fine tune.
You have to take some time to tune this release. The tiny wrench is not always available. But It definitely feels nice once you have it set the way you want it.

Great paper weight.
The build quality looks, feels premium.I was really excited to try a hinge release. I used it with a shot trainer to get the feel of it, also not punch myself in the face when drawing my bow for the first time with it.Unfortunately it never made it that far, the set screws for the click are so flimsy they came out after three times on a shot trainer. There is now way I would trust this thing to pull my 70lb bow! After digging into it seems to be super common, but maybe you’ll be lucky and get one that doesn’t break after three practices shots with a trainer.

Very comfortable and good release
I have been doing quite a bit of short rangevshooting with the Sear since getting it. I tried making adjustments, but found it got too hot when I tried doing that. I do like the click. Once I figured out holding the release, it's been a very smooth shot. Looking forward to getting out to further distances with it. The weight in hand is very comfortable. I've only had one early release, but when you find he correct way to hold the release, I am very comfortable knowing it will not release until you are ready. The only thing I have found I'm not fond of is the point on the 3 finger configuration. If you squeeze tight, it bites into your finger. But I'm finding ways of holding that are comfortable and don't get me poked by it.The 4 finger set up is nice. The natural squeeze to release is very comfortable.I keep going back and forth between 3 and 4 finger set up. Both are working well for me. I can't decide which I like better.

Out of the box failure
I was so looking forward to using this. The two 1/16" set screws that hold the four sided sear in place were so tight that when I tried to loosen them that they rounded off THREE allen wrenches. After the third wrench, I gave up. I guess I'll go buy the one that I really wanted in the first place.But... even with the set screw issue, I liked how it felt in my hand, nice weight, the forth finger is a huge plus. These reasons are why I'm giving it 3 stars instead of two or less.

This release changed my archery life
Before using back tension I didn't realize that all of my thought was on the trigger not the pin and target, now 100% of focus is on the pin and target and the shot happens when it happens. If you haven't used a back tension before make sure you start out 5 feet from your target and draw straight at it. You will quickly get the hang of it and move back, not that you won't fling a few arrows into the wall/trees/ground but the improvement in accuracy is worth it.The adjusting of this does take some patience and practice, took my probably a dozen tries and lots of shooting to get it just right for me.

Great unit.
Awesome release. I would suggest using lock tite once you figure out where you want your adjustments. It has moved on me a couple times before I really snugged her in with lock tite.

bastante bueno
