Product Description The On/Off power switch by Pi Supply is the solution to all of your Raspberry Pi power management problems. It is an “intelligent”, ATX style power supply switch for the revolutionary Raspberry Pi computer. It allows you to leave all of the power wires from the “wall wart” all the way through to the Pi permanently connected with just the quick push of a switch to turn the power on or off. Simple! In this kit you get a printed circuit board and all of the parts you need to put it together into a working unit, including a flat noodle USB cable to connect to your wall-wart power supply. Also includes a free sticker. Note: This kit requires soldering. HOW DOES IT WORK? Once you have finished using your Raspberry Pi, you just shutdown using the sudo halt command, and then a couple of minutes after the full and safe shutdown the Pi Supply Switch cuts the power to the computer. From this point, once again, all you would need to do to restore power to the Pi is touch the on button. There is also a hard power off button for use in emergencies which immediately cuts the power to your Raspberry Pi. Remember to only use this button when absolutely necessary (e.g. Pi has been frozen for a long time) as it risks corruption of the files on your SD card if done at the wrong moment. What makes the switch superior to other makeshift solutions available is that it allows you to restart the Raspberry Pi using the sudo reboot command without the power turning itself off. Perfect! Box Contains 1 x On/Off Power Switch for Raspberry Pi as a kit to be soldered

Shame
I ended up chucking it, relay was faulty, script just didn’t work. Customer service is on point though... always got back to me promptlyGet a ATX-raspi... more expensive but is the better solution

Good Kit
Good quality kit, but wouldn't work with my Pi2 or 4 but all good with a few mods.

Poor quality, poor documentation, lots of issues
Bought this as it was recommended, and I wanted a *robust* method of powering up and safely shutting down my Raspi 3. In theory its a great idea, but this company don't seem to have got their act together. The documentation for this device is very poor, and assembly guide is non-existent.To produce a device like this, claiming it is aimed at beginners, then not producing a detailed assembly guide is preposterous at best. Now, I don't have a problem with PCB assembly, but I think that a novice would need quite a lot of guidance, and this company do not provide it. Hence, it really is not suitable for beginners.Once constructed, the problems began. Despite hours of trying, I could not get this device to keep my Raspi powered up. For some obscure reason, the power light on the Raspberry Pi would go out after about 15 seconds and stay off. Then it would shutdown. When I removed the device and put the USB plug directly into the Pi, the problem went away. I somehow don't think I will find a solution ... so will probably bin it, and find an alternative. Disappointing. Waste of money. I think there are simpler and much cheaper solutions out there.
