does this fit over the ears or above the ears?

Either mainly above ear i use it for under a hockey goalie mask and works really well either

Would this fit a 10 yr old boy or is it more adult sized?

Yes it will fit. I wear 7/38 hats and this is way too small.

Could you wear this under a full-face motorcycle helmet?

Yes, especially if u have a bong of hair. I'm bald and it's too loose.

Will this fit a 25 inch head?

Not sure on the diameter but I wear a XXL helmet and it fits me. They are very stretchy!
