Defcon TD004 7.5" Tactical Fixed Blade D2 Tool Steel Blade with G10 Composite Handle

I have no purpose for this knife but loved the way it looked. My initial thoughts are that this thing is a tank. Its as thick as a BK2, came very sharp, and the grinds are dead on. The design is that of a backup/last ditch knife, or what I like to call a get off me knife. The sheath hold the knife with a solid click, and have no doubt I could do a cart wheel or something sweet and not have it budge. The handle is made not to slip when making a stabby motion, not for chopping or outdoorsy stuff. That being said, I'm going to use it outdoors and put it through its paces. I turned some hickory chunks into chips for the grill, so I'll give it 5 stars for now, and will update as I bang on it some more.

I can't recommend this knife enough. Very thick D2 steel at a length that lends itself well to EDC use. It came very sharp. Very clean lines and comfortable in the hand. Kydex sheath offers good retention, and the Tek Lok type hardware keeps it tight.

Fast shipping. Came very sharp. Nice thick blade, should last a lifetime. Nice sheath holds knife very well. If I ever lost it I would replace it with same. full hand comfort, without being to big and bulky.

The knife would be excellent if you smooth out all the pointy edges. It's not comfortable to hold without gloves. I'm replacing the handle with G-10. The knife sheath works well.

Can't say enough about how much I love this knife. I've had my eyes one one for a while, but had never held one until we stopped by Excalibur at our mall. I wasn't going to pay the inflated price there, but walked away very impressed with the knife's fit and feel. My state has fairly reasonable knife laws and allows nearly a 4" blade for concealed carry, but my city only allows a maximum of 3". This falls a little between, but I'm not concerned as I don't plan on going on a killing spree with it. Though, even if I did do such a thing, the length of the blade would likely be the least of my problems.All joking aside, this thing is absolutely amazing! The factory edge is decent out of the box, but needed some minor touching up to get it where i like my edge to be. The weight could be considered too heavy, but I personally like a bit of heft. These are very minor gripes, as they have to do with personal choice, but I felt they needed to be included. The various customizing options for the carry system make it practically impossible to find a difficult location to carry it. I personally have it in the small of my back at about 7:00 at a slight angle.In a market flooded with knives and options, it's nice to find a great blade at such a reasonable price. Give it a shot, I bet you won't be disappointed.
