One of my all time fave war films very deep seated tackles the deep drama in a very well plotted film. highly recommend

Not an easy watch, but essential. Easy to see why he won best actor Oscar, awesome movie, keeps you on the edge because of their cruelty but lifts the soul because of a kindred spirit its a 10

Very sobering to see how people suffering in the war!
