Q: Have the weld problems been corrected?

I was not aware of any welding problems. Very pleased with the chair.

Q: What are the measurements for the seat?

16 inches front to back 17 inches left to right (at the widest spot)

Q: Can it hold a 300lb person?

I'm 270 and it holds me fine, but I do not have the legs raised. If you don't need the legs raised I feel you would be fine at 300lbs. But if you need the height raised I wouldn't recommend it. It is a fantastic chair by the way.

Q: HOW do you adjust the legs to raise the height of the seat?

A push button on each leg allows you to adjust.
