'Le Moulin De Daudet', originally released in 1992, was a commission for the French-Arabian director Samy Pavel. Klaus invited director and producer to visit him in his studio. For one week they cooked, ate, drank good wines and Klaus played the soundtrack direct to the rough cut of the movie. Another pearl from the huge Schulze cosmos.

Often ambient in style but with many varied themes and atmospheres
Not at all what can usually be expected from a Klaus Schulze recording, and I have a huge collection of his music. Perhaps because this is music for a film soundtrack and comprises a set of 21 tracks of varying lengths, it might not at first seem to be all that cohesive. However, multiple playings soon reveal a depth - and an almost 'ambient' soundscape of interlinked themes - that result in this recording soon worming its way into your mind. There are several folk-flavoured tracks which isn't all that unusual for KS as he has often flirted with or made use of folk instruments or sounds. The most obvious of these is the aptly named 'Folk dance' (track 8). Synthesised flute sounds often arise, as in tracks 10 and 11, which are partly reminiscent of the music of Tangerine Dream in their quieter modes, as well as having those folk influences. As with all music, but especially with music of this style, it all boils down to subjectivity rather than being able to define any objective reason for recommending it. All I can suggest is that you listen to the sound samples and make up your own mind - but if you're a fan of KS, then that alone should be enough reason to experience this recording which has so many different atmospheres and styles.
