After knee replacement I use ice frequently. I loved the compression feature of this product and the ability to wear it out of the house. But the cold only lasted 45 minutes. I bought it for the purpose of being able to sit somewhere away from home. I needed at least 1 1/2 hours including traveling time.Therefore I had to return it. At home I am tethered to an ice machine from the orthopedic for lengths of time but using a leg covering to prevent frostbite.I would consider buying it again when I reach the point in my recovery that all I will need is 45 minutes of icing.

This is without a doubt the best ice wrap I have ever used! Can get really cold which is what is needed - you can throttle down by controlling pressure. Perfect fit and easy to use.

I got this for my total knee replacement which happened today. (6-3) It works ok. The pads don't stay cold for 20 minutes, the amount of time it should be on a body part.It comes with 2 gel, freezer pads so one can be freezing until you need it again. They freeze fairly quickly once they're already cool from previous use.The compression is a problem, I blew it up, but I couldn't deflate it. I figured out how to deflate it. Unscrew and pull the tube with the hand pump attached, turn the dial to “On”, and squeeze the bag. Then reattach the tube and hand pump. It just pushes back on. The problem is that it no longer inflates.I totally stopped using mine in favor of old-fashioned ice packs and a big, flat, malleable, frozen gel pad.I certainly wouldn't purchase it again.

I had a knee injury that constantly needed ice. Contact with the injury is difficult to maintain with the ice. This product solves that problem. I found it searching for a “air cast“ on Amazon. Good value. A bit of an update… Post surgical this device was more effective in delivering cold to the knee then the expensive polar care device that I paid $250.
