Apps are convenient, but I like old school journals
I've tried various apps on my phone like MyFitnessPal and Lose It, etc, and those work great especially if you're always on the go because you don't have to worry about carrying around a book. However for me I noticed I did my best when I physically wrote it down on paper. Maybe I'm just old school, but I like the idea of having an actual journal. This one is pretty basic and very easy to use. There's a section for every meal so you can write down what you ate and there's a section to log in your daily exercise. There's also a progression log where you can write the date, and your weight and measurements as you progress. My only critique is I wish there was a snack section so we can write what we ate between meals, but an easy fix is to write our snacks on the bottom of each meal section. It's also a soft cover so it's fairly lightweight and there are quite a few pages, which should last a couple of months.

Cheaply made with flimsy pages
Leaving aside the fact that mine arrived with some grimy residue on the cover and a large crease on the top right corner, I found this to be decidedly unworthy. While there is arguably some merit to the simplicity, the paper is so cheap and flimsy that you can actually see the printing from the back of each page - leaving me in no doubt that any writing will immediately transfer and/or bleed through at least one, if not more pages. To be honest this comes across very much like a DIY item - like something you could put together yourself with free printables from Pinterest etc and a cardstock cover of choice. The price point is ok, I guess, and if you're really just looking for the absolute basics with zero expectations you might feel like you're getting your money's worth - personally, to me this is like something you'd buy at the Dollar Tree. Returned mine for a full refund.

Nice
I really like this fitness journal. Everything is nicely laid out. I like that it has spots for water and that it gives nice space for breakfast, lunch, dinner and for workouts.I only wish that it had a notes section for each page to right my thoughts for that day while on my health journey.

Great daily log book!
This journal is fantastic!! I love that I can log my daily food and calories, track my water intake and all of my exercises. I just wish it had more pages so I could use it longer but I will definitely be purchasing this book again when I run out of room in this one.

Cute and does the basic job.
I like this journal. It's cute and lightweight so I could carry it around. The only thing I wish it had was a space to write notes. Everyday can be different and I would like to log what happened. Ex: less sleep, sick etc. those factors are important in recording accurate results in an eating plan. I won't get it again because I now use a fit bit online logging site to track my results. It did the job while it used it.

I love that there is an area to track your measurements and weight. It's a great book to use as a food diary if you're the type that wants to use something you can hold in your hand and write in as oppose to an app. I feel the pages are slightly on the thin side so you may wanna use a pencil when writing in it.

Good journal with cheap workmanship
I just got this 2 days ago and started writing in it yesterday. The glue on the binding is very weak, so the first page is already falling out. It was very inexpensive, so I suppose you get what you pay for. I do like the journal pages and how they're set up, but the binding needs a little help.

but like every other thing i've tried to commit to I ...
Bought this to lose weight, but like every other thing i've tried to commit to I opened the box and never looked past page 3. Good quality book though and it looks nice on the shelf.
