Easy Quilts from Precut Fabrics

One if the benefits of using pre cut fabrics is that it should reduce the amount of cutting in a quilt project, and I purchased this book thinking the patterns would take advantage of the pre cuts. In some cases, like with the jelly roll patterns, they do take advantage of the pre cut 2.5 inch strips and simply have you cut them to the needed lengths. I was disappointed though with some of the other patterns such as for use with layer cakes, because there are so many great ways to use 10 inch squares to speed up quilt making where you sew the 2 squares together then cut into half square triangles after sewing...and those patterns didn't take advantage of that fact at all. The patterns overall are cute and different enough from others I have to make the book worth owning, but don't purchase it thinking it includes all of the quick construction methods that pre cuts are known for. It's more just patterns that benefit from a variety of coordinating prints.

A fabulous book! It doesn’t happen often but I can honestly say I want to make all of the quilts in this book.

Great easy instructions in color. The contents are divided into layer cakes, jelly rolls, and fat quarters. Sue Pfau, also, talks about how to use and choose your fabric and managing the lights and darks! I like this book so much that I bought one for myself and a friend.

I like this book very much. Lots of good ideas that will generate ideas for beginners and advanced quilters. Nicely explained, but from first glance looks like the cutting instructions dont leave too much space for mistakes. So pay attention!

Arrived earlier than estimated. Photos are in focus and patterns are basically step by step easy.

Very easy and traditional blocks with a twist, the colours are just superb, they blend so well to make beautiful quilts. Make them from precuts or use scraps and take a leaf from this book regarding colour and you can't go wrong. Beautifully explained and illustrated.

I adore the designs from this pattern maker. I want to make every quilt in this book. What I particularly like is that her designs can be envisioned in a wide array of fabrics. Good book for beginners and more advanced quilters

Sue Pfau’s book was in my Kindle library. I had looked through it, but not decided on anything yet. Liked several. Today on Instagram saw this one again. Wow! so many quilts I’d like to do. Better get to sewing...

Cant wait to try some paatterns out. Easy concise and clear to follow instructions x

It’s a really lovely book for those, like me, who like using precuts.

I love the colours used and the fact that I can use my scraps to create beautiful yet easy quilts. Very pleased.
