Door Handle Spring Repair Kit (Ten 2.5-Turn, 2mm Thick, 30mm Diameter coils Plus Ten circlips)

There are multiple size, thickness and number of spring turn options from various sellers when choosing, so it is worth making absolutely sure from measurements of your old door handle spring that you choose the right one. Youtube was great for getting the method and tools required (screwdriver and circlip pliers). My sitting room door handle works like new now. No more swapping the most used handles for the ones on the back of airing cupboards or...buying replacement handle sets. And having so many in the pack means I have plenty for immediate repair as other handles wear our. Highly recommend...

Really happy with these door handle springs and clips. They were a bit fiddly to fit (you need the circlip pliers) but they saved me the cost of replacing a number of door handles

It was a bit fiddly trying to keep the handles nylon cenralising bush/washer in place when fitting the circlip, as the tension of the spring is quite considerable due the fact that the part of the spring that fits around the anchor peg is not shaped to suit but is just bent at an angle to form a vee. But in saying that perseverance will out in the end.It's now fitted and does the job perfectly.

This kit is good value for money and quite easy to use with circlip plyers. ( These would appear to be essential). With ten springs and 10 circlips this represented great value when compared with others on ebay etc. The process of replacement was a little tricky at first but became much easier with practice. This enabled me to repair 3 doors for about £10 which is a great saving when compared to the cost of new handles and I have now got a further 7 left for future use. A very prudent buy.

It is important to ensure you order the correct type / size of spring. The only way to ensure this is to strip down one of the handles. I found the repair to be quite easy if you take your time. The only tool required is a set of external circlip pliers.

Slightly too large for the handles I have (it's very hard to judge), and trying to fit surclips without the correct tool is akin to forcing toothpaste back into the tube. Avoid unless you're know these are the correct size. .
