Marshmallow Magic

The flavour ideas are good for inspiration but I'm not sure about the basic recipe. It works when done as vanilla but come adding some flavours it makes the mix very wet a few tweaks where needed before I got marshmallows I could use. Added gelatine to the mix after adding the syrup means it does not always mix in I had mine to the syrup then it dissolves but beware it does bubble up.

Marshmallows are one of the latest sweet 'trends' with several people making 'designer' marshmallows. This book has all the necessary instructions and inspirational recipes to make your own at a fraction of the cost of ready made marshmallows - and it is very easy to do this. The ones I have made so far have been very well received.

Very do able recepies kept simple built around a basic marshmallow recepie that comes out beautifully every time.Lots of really imaginative ideas which don't seem out of reach to a beginner, yet look really out of this world.Quantities are perfect for us in the UK.I would wholeheartedly recommend the book - buy it now, you won't be disappointed.

I have not yet tried the recipes but from experience cooking they seem quite straightforward and very doable. The ingredients are easily accessible, so with these points I think the book is a good buy to practise making your sweets.

I had never tried to make marshmallow at home before I purchased this book. What a revelation! The instructions are clear and easy to follow and the results light, fluffy and tasty! People are very impressed when you tell them you have made the marshmallow yourself!

I ordered this lovely little book after watching Genevieve make marshmallows on the television; she made it look very easy and I thought if it was as straightforward as she made it seem then I could make them for Christmas gifts. My first attempt (classsic vanilla) was a great success: the instructions were easy to follow and the end product delicious and enthusiastically received by my taste testers! I am looking forward to trying some of the flavour combinations next which sound very tempting and look very inviting in the photos. You do need a free standing kitchen mixer and I would definitely recommend a sugar thermometer but with both those to hand you will triumph with Marshmallow Magic!

Wonderful little book which I'm working my way through. Have tried several recipes and they work, with one slight exception but that was probably me. I had no idea marshmallows could taste so good. I have always liked even mass produced marshmallows but this book takes the experience to a whole new level.

Good basic ideas but not very inspiring

Can't wait to make my way thro the fab recipes in this book. Arrived well packaged and on time.

Good easy book on the subject with some interesting recipes and flavour combos.

Has a series of different marshmallow recipes from killers to gourmet, even veggie ones are in there. Love the pecan maple ones!!!

Fantastic - not tried any recipes yet, but nice simple instructions that a novice like myself can follow. Good variety of mallows too
