Can anyone guide me which drill bits match different rawl plugs. Is a 6mm drill bit right for an 8mm rawl plug?

Depends a lot on what your drilling. On concrete or brick it’s a one to one match (or should be) but for anything softer I always use one size down first so the rawlplug fit is tight. If it’s too tight, then pull plug out and re-drill next size up.
