G.I. Joe: Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank: Includes Light & Sound! (RP Minis) Paperback – September 23, 2014

Just got this in the mail today and was happy to find that everything about this tank is awesome! It's packaged in a sweat collectors box with the original H.I.S.S tank packaging art on it. The tank is not made of cheap "dollar bine" material. As another reviewer said, it's got a nice heft to it. The plastic is a nice matte black and the smoked canopy opens to a cool cockpit. The turret traverses about 90 degrees left, right and up. The tank comes with stickers resembling the original H.I.S.S tank. This tank is so much like the original I had flashbacks of playing with my friends H.I.S.S back in the day.Oh but there's more. The set comes with a blueprint sheet indicating where to place the stickers (No technical data).The best of the best in the box is the booklet containing file info on a lot of the original G.I. Joe characters. The booklet displays the original sweet packaging art for those characters in all their righteous glory.This box set gave me instant 80's nostalgia of crawling around on the carpet with my cheek to the ground, eye level with my buddies gnarly H.I.S.S tank going PKEW, PKEW! COBRAAA!Love it.Buy it.

Okay, I'm not one to write Amazon reviews ever. Yes, I'm one of the selfish ones that reads Amazon reviews all the time but have never contributed. Since there are no reviews for this yet and I just got this in, I have to say, I'm thoroughly impressed!Much higher quality than expected, the HISS tank has a nice weight to it, opening canopy and articulated turret with lights and sound effects. I love this thing. Its about to scale with a Hotwheels/Matchbox car (but a little bigger since its a tank, hence "to scale with..") and I'm glad I ordered a few of them for my mini army.Comes with a decal sheet and a mini book filled with original 1980's GI Joe ARAH blister card and packaging artwork that I've always loved (although Firefly and Zartan's artwork is from the more recent 25th and 30th anniversary releases) and descriptions core characters.I'm so impressed with this release that I'm hoping Running Press does more GI Joe ARAH miniature vehicles from the 1980's! (and if RP if you're reading this, please make more!)If you're on the fence about ordering these, get one. You won't be disappointed.

For those of you that perfer not to deal with the modern middle east terrorists in Modern Wargames... as the 80's and even 90's was a gentler battlefield in the mind...Look no further than this!Approximately 28mm, you can field this with a bunch of guys in business suits and face the COBRA Crimson Guard on a tabletop.Get them while you can. Hasbro has announced some sort of miniatures or clix game.

Excellent mini replica. Diaclone reboot pilots (Dia-Nauts) fit perfect. I was also able to get action fleet figures into the cockpit with no issues. Great buy, No regrets at all.

This little thing is so cool. If you have Takara's new Dianauts from the Diaclone Reboot, they will fit perfectly the cockpit and turret.

This litte Hiss tank is awesome. Great detail and right to scale. Worth the money if you were a fan in the least.

Buy this for the tank not the book. The stickers are a little difficult to get on right since it is so small. The light and sounds of the cannon was a nice touch.

A fun little desk toy with very bright lights.

The media could not be loaded.  I love these mini toys (Star Trek, GIJOE, Batman) and added this one to my collection. Being a GI Joe fan I had to have this and boy was I not disappointed. Not only does it light-up but has a nice sound effect too (see my vid). Perfect toy at a great price.For $11 this is a decent price. It also comes with a mini booklet, blue prints and nice box that holds everything together. As a child of the 80’s, my formative years were spent reading a TON of G.I.Joe comics (lived in the country so rarely got to see the glorious cartoon), and playing out those battles with my meager collection of assorted toys. I never had a H.I.S.S tank...Now I own 6. So that’s something....

First of all I received this really fast which is always cool. This is a tiny version of a HISS tank which threw me off at first; but after I opened it, put the stickers on it and fired the weapon, I was happy to have it. I was fooled but ended up happy. Good job.

Great little toy with cool lights and shell explosion sounds. The book was interesting as well, as it gave the scoop on the main Joe and Cobra characters. Really enjoyed putting the stickers on the tank, just like old-school 80s toys, if you received them.
