Elastikon Tape 4" X 2.5 yds 6/bx

A must have in any horse barn! I have struggled with using Vet Wrap and duct tape in the past on tough to wrap areas only to have it slip off again and again. Elastikon only takes a few wraps around to hold secure and it super sticky. I've been using it on a draft horse hoof and the wrap lasts in between changings and really holds up! This could even be used with Vet Wrap to keep in place. Elasikon, where have you been all my life?!

I wear a pain patch and unfortunately I'm allergic to it (but itching is better than pain!) so I place the pain patch on a piece of Elasticon just a bit larger than my patch, then stick it on. It keeps the patch on until it's time to remove it the following week! Also have used it to hold a plastic cast on a broken dog leg, after wrapping the leg with cotton cast material. This stuff is great!

Use on my dog's tail to cover gauze and pads when his "happy tail" gets cut. Keeps the padded bandages on and when tail starts swinging and banging again. Must be careful, however, to give plenty of room when crimping and applying because as my veternarian warned it will tighten up and do not want it to get too tight and cut off circulation.

I have horses. I live in Charleston, SC. I cannot buy Elastikon here. I was taping something to a hoof to prevent pressure on a sore spot. Elastikon works great.

This is great stuff. It's tougher and holds better the vet wrap. Note, it needs an expansion cut in back of the knee/joint for movement. It is not as flexible as vet wrap.

Had to use this in reconstruction recovery...Worked great...it certainly stayed in place and provided great support...it is difficult to remove though.

Very affordable and works great for wrapping horses' legs and keeps the bandaging secure.

I love this stuff. I lure course my whippet and we use it when the field that we are running in is real hard and dry. I wrap this around the bottom of my dogs foot in order to protect the pads from the rough dry ground which will rip the pads right off their feet.
