As you likely know, Rawlings makes very good to exceptional sporting equipment, and I think this pro-style home plate falls into the exceptional category. This thing is super nice. And super beefy. There’s really nothing I could find to not like about it. And in fact, I like it a lot.Now, with that said, as I’m sure you noticed, this pro-style home plate isn’t exactly cheap. Consequently, unless you’re *really* into baseball, this is obviously equipment that is intended for use in a professional or semi-professional setting. However, if baseball is your passion, and you want top notch equipment, then I can see buying this home plate for private/semi-private use too.So, putting price aside, I think the bottom line here is that this is an exceptional piece of baseball equipment that I am near certain you will be happy with. Like I said, I couldn’t find anything to not like about it. This home plate is professional grade in both quality and design. It's made of a very sturdy and heavy rubber that you can tell is built to withstand a lot of rough play. The stanchion and spikes really hold the plate in the ground well, so it's not going anywhere when somebody slides home. It looks great in the ground and really sticks out against the background of the dirt. I can tell that this is going to last for many years to come.

This Rawlings Home Plate is constructed very well. We were looking for more of a permanent home plate solution for our midwest back yard and this home plate checks all the boxes. Very heavy duty, extreme spikes to keep the plate in place and looks all weather. Only draw back is the price. Other than that this plate will hold up for many years to come.

I got this for my kids that play little league to use to practice playing at home, and it’s definitely the real thing. This home plate is heavy and very durable and stays put in the ground. It’s very bright and easy to see, too. If you’re in need of a home plate, this is the one to get. It's professional grade and incredibly well made.

This is likely the finest, most durable, home plate on earth. Usable as a buried base on traditional baseball fields and also as a laydown base on turf or for portable use. Extremely heavy, not prone to movement during use. Recommended.
