Given the amount of money hubby spent on getting custom Phonak hearing aids made and fitted with audiologist, these wax guard filters are worth it to maintain his hearing. He typically gets wax build up in his ears. These dispensers make it easy for him to change. Occasionally he may need tweezers to help. All in all, these are great. If you have hearing aids, you know they start to whistle when they get sweaty or any debris near the tiny speaker area. I have started removing and washing the little bells on mine weekly and the wax guards get changed every 2 weeks. Works much better for me. Costco does supply some of these products but I like to have some on hand.

I've changed out my wax guards with these twice now and they seem to be as good as the originals. No issues at all. And at the risk of TMI, I'll admit that while my left ear is perpetually wax free, my right ear has some wax issues. So, yeah, they work fine.
