The Botanical Illustrator's Handbook Paperback – September 1, 2014

Although the illustrations are visually looser than traditional botanical illustrations, the written content is excellent. Her detailed explanation of the process provides the appropriate foundation information for both beginners and more experienced painters. I will be keeping this book in my library.

This book lives up to the promise of its title. The author writes elegantly and with flashes of dry wit. The text is practical and the original paintings by the author are beautiful, an inspiration to any aspiring botanical artist.

Amateurish drawings and not all the information was correct. The color chapter was particularly poor

Sally is a local lady who I have had the pleasure to meet. She instils the need to look carefully at the subject you are drawing/painting before you really get working. It`s always a good thing to examine different approaches to the topic when you are an enthusiastic amateur, like me.

Very clear concise instructions and beautiful illustrations. The delivery service was excellent.

A lovely book for anyone interested in botanical illustration and at a good price.
