Not too pleased with this series 😩
Let me say...... I LOVE the thug serious!!! But This payback series I honestly could have done without! The first book was bomb, but every thing after just didn't meet my standards! & I absolutely HATED this last book. I dislike Shan for the whore she is! Yes, B did her wrong but she went to far by sleeping with Nick who constantly runs off and leave they kids? I'm not saying she should have accepted B's BS in no way!!!! But she had a choice to leave instead of continuously having babies & running off leaving them!!!

confused😮
The relationship with Shan and briggen I don't understand how everything went south so quick. I thought this book would have explained the sudden change, but no it left me more confused. I wish there would have been a better character development of Shans sudden change. Overall I loved the plot of the other characters especially Born. But the book lacked consistency from what the first series of the book had. Sometimes it felt like it was all over the place with all of the characters. Hopefully something's will be more explained in the following book.

Great read and I'll probably read it again in case I missed something
I love all of Wahida Clark's books and this one is no different. I must say her writing is not predictable and the story took a turn in a different direction every time I thought it was going another way (not a bad thing at all). The only difficulty I had was trying to keep up with all of the various characters and that is never a challenge for me with her writing style. This one trying to set up the other because there were so many "crews" or teams per say. I feel like I may have missed something trying to keep up but it is definitely worth me reading again.

What A Way To Finish
The only reason I did not give this book 5 stars wad because there was just too muck killing going on. A little too much gore. But other than that excellent book as usual. One thing I can say is "The streets love no-one." They will chew you up and spit u out. I almost had to get back and read the book before this again because having to remember characters and their past stories was kind of hard. A lot of new people were introduced as well. Trust no-one in this book. Each person was out for themselves. No honor among thieves/thugs is the truth. Wahida did her thing and I would definitely recommend it. But as I said earlier you may want to re-read the installment before this one.

Okay Read
Okay I am a Wahida Clark fan. I love the thug series and the payback series. However this book was just ok to me. It is just too many people and too many plots to follow. My 2 favorite people Briggen and Dark, I don't like what they went thru. It is too much going on at one time for me. I don't like Shan aka Redbone!!! Ms. Clark please tell your author Ca$h to come on with "When Thugs Cry 3. Bottom line not all that excited about this book. Brought it on the strength of your name.

No ready to see the payback series end
I gave this book five stars because I couldn't give it ten. WAHIDA totally did her thing. I know this is supposed to be the final book in the pay back series but it can't be. I love all of her books and this book had it all I laughed, cried, and was looking for pay back myself. I recommend this book to everyone who loves true street literature. Trust me start with the first book payback is a mutha if u never read any of the other books and work your way up it is worth the money. Can't wait of the next thug series book either. Wahida is such a awesome writer.

Um, What?
I never like writing negative reviews, especially about authors I love, but I gotta be honest. This book was definitely not what I was expecting. The more I read the more I disliked. First of all why did so much of this story feature a whole bunch of characters that didn't matter in the other 3 books, characters we don't give a damn about. I really thought this would show more Shan and Brig, and them trying to get over what they done to eachother. I'm really disappointed because Wahida was my favorite author for YEARS. She is the reason I became a streetlit fan, and a avid reader. This is the first book I've read since all the thug books and the other payback books, and I'm beyond let down. The book got entirely too predictable after the first couple chapters. I absolutely hate when books turn everybody in to cold blooded killers. Like wtf? That's sooooo unrealistic. Shan was a COMPLETELY different woman then she was in all the other payback books. It seems like somebody else wrote this book. A couple chapters in and I was so ready for it to be over. I hate when my favorite authors let me down like this. I don't know why this book has a 4.4 rating. Also why the hell did that happen to Briggen? Even though he was a dog, I loved him, and he is who everybody wanted to hear about, him & Shan. It wasn't even really about neither one of them. This book was just laughable. Absolutely ridiculous!
