I have multiple sizes and brands of silicone mats that I use on my kitchen and bathroom countertops to protect them from stains and scratches. They are great for that purpose. I also use them under some kitchen countertop appliances, like my electric coffee pot, my crock pot, and my microwave oven.

Thin and nice

I use this as a mat under the coffee maker and the toaster. It is a little tacky if you try to wipe it off with your hand, but if you use a damp sponge it's very easy. Stays clean and looks good. Note that this is not clear. It is translucent. Mine is on top of a white painted surface so I don't care, but you may .

We recently renovated our kitchen and seem to be the family’s go-to for any celebration. I was nervous about my quartz countertops. With these, I now set them down and don’t worry about the heat from the warming tray, spills, messy utensils, etc (not that I needed to worry but it is all new!).I took a baking dish out of a 400 degree oven. I never set these on the counter but I wanted to test the heat resistance. Silicone is durable. To test, I placed the mat on my stovetop then the hot dish. I had my hand under the dish (under the silicone). It was warm. But definitely not 400 and I keep my hand there and it felt as if I had a baking mitt on.It is sticky, but not gummy. It washes and wipes easily. I bought a larger size and it rolls up well and I keep it in a drawer next to the oven mitts.Good value. I just bought another (diff brand) so I can compare. I also tested this size for under my coffee maker and its great there too.

It's very good quality. I have purchased others for more that were flimsy and tore easily. This one is thick and it was also packaged very well. It came rolled up instead of folded up and so I didn't have to fight with any crimps/creases like I have with other mats. I use silicone mats for painting and crafts and have gone through several. I think this one will last a long while.
