The thermostat on my fridge/freezer had become very unreliable. A replacement would likely be difficult to source. A similar fridge/freezer may be difficult to find. The solution was to have a sensor that would turn the fridge power on and off in order to control the temperature.The lead to the temperature sensor was routed past the seal on the hinge side of the fridge cabinet and the sensor was positioned in the top of the cabinet. The old fridge thermostat was set at maximum.The new control unit turn on temperature was set to 4.4 C and the turn off temperature was set to 3.9 C. This ensured that the freezer section was always colder than -18 C (typically -20 C).The ratio of the turn on and turn off times with this setting is about 1:1.4 which must give a saving on electricity consumption. No normal fridge thermostat provides this degree of control.The only slight downside is that the fridge light doesn't come on during the off period.

Appears to work fine. Cable on the sensor is a little short for me.Regarding accuracy seams ok generally within 0.5 degree of other co-located sensors.Very pleased with it

This product is really easy to use and install. It is accurate in controlling the temperatures so far and makes me feel better knowing it clicks in if too cold. As shown in the picture, I have connected it to a tubular heater (as it is an on/off system) and this just helps to ensure the temperature doesn't drop below the set value in the tortoises shed set up. It is also more energy efficient as i am only heating the shed when it's needed. So far so good! I am really impressed with the ease of this product and have happy warm tortoises.

Came in good shape, no visible damage or scratches. It’s more compact than it looks on pictures and fit easily on extended multi-plugs without taking too much space. It’s easy to use and configure, I’ve played around for a few days with the different settings and tried it on both a heat mat and a CHE, works super well and as intended. Definitely a product and brand I’d like to use again.

Compact, but the instructions are vague at best.

This is an easy to use unit. The backlight is essential, so you might decide to choose a unit like this or this one. We use it in the greenhouse controlling a small oil heater.

We tried this on a solar heatbulb for our bio active chahoua tank .. holds temperature perfectly and was really easy to use ..fits perfectly in an extension lead with plugs either side and has a nice long sensor lead meaning the power sockets didn't need to be so close to the tankOver all very happy
